I'd say pretty cool. Not sure if she needed to be a unique since it doesn't look like an exceptionally powerful Jean Grey...but I think it was definitely something needed to make her a bit beefier...I like both really, but ths new Jean seems to add quite a bit to the X teams.
And I liked Jon's little exasperated comment about the force field debate from Ironman
Range of 12! That should spark some debate. He said she should fit in 200 pt. games, so how much does she cost? She sounds like a combo of Quasar and Vision.

Would you have prefered a Rookie, Experience, and Verteran of all the same stats? Heh.. Uniques aren't always about exceptional stats. More so about Exceptional points in a certain characters life. Or of a character that doesn't really change, if at all during their time, as a r/e/v wouldn't work.
85 pts.. if I spot it correctly.
Eh...she seems alright....but nothing too great....pretty pricey for a tk fig :p

Well true, but Jean's pretty much changed her name to Phoenix, giving her a real code name...just figured she's been around long enough to accomplish some minor tweaks...like rookie is powerful...but the others aren't...
Looked at it again, I think her cost is 89, it's definitely two digits.

uuhhh... 12 range...
Albeit, only 2 damage at 12 range, but still farther than anyone else can shoot. I'll definetly be looking for her.

not very powerfull (like the Firebird Phoenix, but I guess they will make a Dark Phoenix for that !), but a beefed up Jean.
12 range attack, only 2 damage so playable but not overpowered.
in essence the experienced Jean.
I hope the "curse" of having to be under 100 points doesn't make all X-men underpowered though !
I wonder what kind of attack value she has, the jean grey in IC had a LOW attack value. I hope its high (maybe 10 for a couple of clicks). I think her point cost is 85, thats pretty cool, with a range of 12 and good defense ill be looking for her. I think Wizkids did a great job with this one.

Wow, a range of twelve. I get the sense that we're going to be seeing a lot of X-teams based around a Phoenix/Psylocke combo.
thank you and good night

Perplexing her range ought to be fun :)

WOOHOO> The new preview is up and it's Pheonix!! She has a range of 12!!!
That does seem like quite a team-up, Phoenix and Psylocke. I mean, Shield agents could do it just as well, but Psylocke wouldn't cost an action, and it would work from a team standpoint as well. Plus, Jean can taxi her Support around with her. This may be very interesting...
I agree...especially since Pheonix can fling Psylocke to the front lines to serve up some ninja style carnage, should a fellow X-man need some aid.
However, if she leaves Psylocke next to her not only does Pheonix get the boost from enhancement, but she also benefits from having psylocke there as a gaurdian if someone bases her. Have Psylocke bust out the BCF, and then have jean hurl the foe away if they survived the BCF.
Better yet have jean hurl them into wolverine and get them with another BCF.

Still, the fact that she was made a Flier, doesn't help an whole lot. As you can't use it, and TK at the same time. Her range is decent, I'm sure it will make the difference in it's fair share of games, but not usually. All in all, what we can see from her so far seems worth the 85, as long as you keep her out of harms way, have a feeling she'll drop pretty quickly fromt he way it's described.

Well, there's bee plenty of talk about Psylocke, but my only worry is that whether or not she'll have it on her first click. I had a team using ultron, Strange, etc. And it was a waste of time and a pain to have to push him to get him where I needed him to be.
Hopefully it will be on the first click, but I'm not making plans on anything until I see it.

I think the new X-gal combo might be pretty good...it sounds like something of a monster at around 110 points...leaving you enough for some ranged/bruiser taxi combo or something entirely different.
the twelve range and enhancement is a definite space control combo.

Hey, folks. We've got our weekly preview thread up at the top of the forum for ya. It looks good when those are nice and congested, so take Phoenix talk up there if you can.
Thanks.
