I read through 3 different threads trying to find this answer, but didn't see it come up.

When using Defense Drain, if he were to copy Regen (through miraculous timing) and then when able, he rolls high enough that he lands on his top click and is not pushing... would he avoid the roll for Penetrating Damage by not showing the power? Or would the rules of the power follow through and potentially (with a bad roll) land him back on click 2?

My instinct is that once the power isn't showing then any effects dissolve... but I'm hardly confident in that assessment.

I believe since the wording says "after the resolution of..." you still need to roll for the penetrating damage.

BY the way, REP to you for having the courage to post a thread about SUPER-ADAPTOID.

I assume you're right, since none of the Rules Lanterns have dropped by.

Thanks!!

I would look at it like WCs using MoE.

MASTERS OF EVIL
A character using the Masters of Evil team ability can be given an action when it has two action tokens on it. If it does, do not give an action token to the character after the action resolves; instead, deal it 1 unavoidable damage. At the end of your turn, do not remove action tokens from a character that has been give a non-free action and used this team ability during that turn.

Even if the WC isn't using MoE at the end of the turn, it doesn't get to clear because it has been triggered.

Another similar situation is damaging the MCer during the MC to the point where the MC power is lost. You still get to complete any of the MCed figures' free actions as well as take the damage.
