Don't forget Iron Fist, or Blade 3.

And don't forget that just because the rights have been bought or a script has been written, that doesn't mean the movie will actually happen. A good rule of thumb is, don't believe it until things are actually in production/being filmed.

And sometimes not even then! :D

Remember the 'Fantastic Four Movie'? Heh.. ..was completed but wasn't allowed to be released in theatres it was so bad.. =p

I actually saw a bootleg copy of the FF movie and aweful does not even begin to describe it. Picture if you will the old Punisher and Cap. America movies, Blend them together, and squeeze out every redeeming factor anyone has ever found with those two, and your just barely in the ballpark with how bad that movie was.

To sum it up: It was BAD!!!

So you're saying the 11 films you listed are being filmed as we speak? Even Spider-man 3 isn't a definite at this point.

I am saying that according to industry sources each of the movies i have listed have already recieved writers directors and most of all 10's of millions of dollars in budgets.......they are all casting and or filming.

in fact for fantastic 4 peyton reed(of MR SHOW) is directing and CHris columbus(harry potter and gremlins) wrote the script.
batman is being directed by chris nolan(memento)
Iron man has the director of shanghai knights signed on.
ghost rider has nick cage signed on and an unknown commercial director.

and so on and so on and so on........anyhow i just wanted to spread the love not argue the semantics of production. I do my research and would not give you the shake. SO why don't we all get juiced and worry about cancellation as it happens(if it happens)

I think the most important thing to remember is that these movies HAVE to be good. and not just good for comics fans like us here on this forum, but good for people who think superheores are absurd. If its good for them then we'll have a success.

I don't know about you but everywhere I've read, except for on this forum, daredevil reviews have been bad. If people can't except daredevil, i wonder how they're going to take iron fist or ghost rider. I not so worried about the punisher, and big name heroes like batman or spidey, but for the obscure ones, they just better be great movies. If they're not, it'll only contribute to the bad reputation that comics have in the literary world. in closing, i read a review in which the reviewer said that he didn't like the story in daredevil movie, but what could you expect, it was based on a comic book.....

Heh, the Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie. I wished to all the high-and-mighties for the longest time that they'd do that one on MST3K, but alas, my ranting went unheard. Ah well.

Anyway, glad to see there's so many Marvel adaptations coming up. I just saw Daredevil last night (check my BRAND-NEW SIG for one of my favorite personal comments during it), and while it ended up being something of a mixed bag I was generally pleased with it. Hope all the upcoming Marvel movies will do better!

Daredevil would have been better if it was longer. THey had to many main people and didn't gie enough time to develope them. Also there was a lot of inside jokes that comic fans got but, the mai public didn't. I saw this clearly because I saw 2 sneak screens of te movie one tha was only for local comic shops and their clients. THe other was put on by a local radio station and barely anyone radio promo got the jokes about the names of people. My other grip with the movie is Ben Afleck suxed and I'm afraid that Ghost Rider will too if nick Cage plays him. The should have learned with hugh jackmen paying Wolvie that the best talent for a comic movie is new up nd coming people. Another person that proves this point is Toby Mcguire in Spudermen( and no I didn't spell the name wrong I just can't stand th webhead)

THat is a good point. THese films all have to be good to appeal to noncomic fans. Fortunately so far all the marvel movies have been blessed with good reviews(even from the bigger critics for daredevil.) However with the success of the genre of late and the growing interest with the impending war the superhero film has a good couple of years. THe only concern we should have as the comic fan is the general public assimilating these films into the spiderman/batman pigeonhole. I heard a lot of "the movie was cool but daredevil is just a spiderman rip off." as i left the theater. THis is why studios fail. Remember saving private ryan....that film's success prompted hundreds of ripoffs. Same with movies like scream. Hollywood tends to focus too heavily untill the market is oversaturated. It is almost inherent so we should just be gratefull while we have them.

So does that make Spider-Man a rip-off of X-Men, which is a rip-off of Steel (starring Shaq!)?

:D LOL:D

Don't forget about the matrix, that was a comic as well at first.
Without the matrix there would be no X-men or spidey movie.
Bsides testing the comic\movie market, they also started a revolution in special effects technology.
