Hello,

I downloaded the dial and top templates.
I have Photoshop 5.5 and can look the stuff over, but do not have a clue how to manipulate it.

So I was planning to go down to my local Kinko's and try out their Illustrater 9.0 and 10.0.

I have never used Illustrator and am in the dark.

Will it be easy for the co-worker to get me started {I am moderately skilled in many programs}...Is the numbers, letters and adding colors for powers something easy or is it laborous?

Any help in what I should expect and hints on what to do/ not to do.

Thanks

wes

It depends really, I built my own easy to use custom dial maker in Illustrator 9 but I've also been working with Illustrator for the past 6 years.

I had never used 10.0 when I started making dials and dialtop and just ran into a little trouble before I started pumping them out. A little hint to save you from the embarrasement I found is to unclick the lock button before trying to change the colors and numbers. If you have questions I will be glad to try to help.

I was having problems with Illustrator 10, too. Several people on the board here helped. Just look through for some of those posts. Also Drashia has a website with a helpful guide on making dials, too. But I can't remember the link.
