I made a 300 point team of
Nick Fury
Logan
R Mandroid
R Shield Agent
R Shield Medic
E Shield Medic
V Shield Medic
E Shield Sniper
E Shield Trooper
V Yellowjacket
E Vulture
R Skrull Agent
288/300
I had quite a bit of success with this, and I hadnt used Fury that much before, but he is really a solid figure!
I put Fury in hindering terrain for stealth, flanked by a Shield Trooper and a Shield Medic, and positioned the Sniper on a roof flanked by the Shield Agent, and the R and V Shield Medics.
Mandroid, Yellowjacket and Vulture acted as the taxis, with the Main offense being Logan, and Fury with 2 Shield beside him. The Sniper core on the roof was great as cover fire for Fury and his men down below. If Fury got based, the Sniper let loose on the enemy with 2 shield enhancements for 4 damage. Leadership on his early clicks was also key in the offense.
When Fury finally lost stealth and leadership, he gained Outwit and RS, so I could still harass my opponents with him. The taxis would place Shield people, and Fury would run half his movement to base with them and fire a nice blast for 3 damage on the following turn. The medics really came in handy for healing up the pushing damage I sustained.
I am impressed with Fury's abilities, I underestimated him. He is really fun to play with, and point manageable for only 62 points.

Which Logan is this? Rookie, Experienced, or Veteran.

Vet Logan.
The whole team was
Nick Fury, 62
R Mandroid, 28
E Shield Trooper, 14
R Shield Medic, 12
E Shield Medic, 14
V Shield Medic, 16
V Shield Sniper, 14
R Shield Agent, 10
V Yellowjacket, 37
E Vulture, 20
V Logan, 60
R Skrull Agent, 11
288/300
I couldnt find anything for 12 points to stick in there to fill the hole left, so I just used this team.
Why not use another Shield Medic-R, you already have one that is 12 points, why not another one, since it is a mostly Shield team anyway.
I agree the Fury is a good character at his points, very valuable to have on your team. He can create some great opportunities for your team. I played against a team that used the Fury plus two shield guys to boost him, they were tough. I found out that to beat Fury that way, you have to beat his boosters first then flush him out in the open and gun him down. But, when you protect him with the cover fire, it would be really tough. They guy I played against didn't know how to protect them very well. Got to watch out for the EE attack though.

Yeah, I would have used another medic, but I dont have one. Heh....:(
Im trying to get more shield and Hydra generics so I can avoid this kind of thing. The Shield figures that I listed are all of the ones that I own in my collection sadly.
On your EE comment, Hoo-boy, you aint kidding. Ultron with 2 metropolis PD Lit the Colonel and the boys up BIGTIME. E Ultron targeted the 2 shield figures flanking fury, while he was flanked with PD. EE connected on both shield guys, doing 6 damage to Fury who was stuck in the middle!!
OUCH.
It went pretty much downhill from there. Ultron is a major monkeywrench in the plans of a grouped team.
I hate playing against Ultron. One of the guys in my area always uses Ultron and She-Hulk, they are very tough to play against. I have found the best thing to do is to use someone with outwit to take his Invulnerability away, then drop or charge(depending on who I have) a B/C/F character at him(Unigue Elektra and Wolverine are great at this), it can chop him down pretty quick. The V Sabertooth has charge and B/C/F, so that is good as well. I always chase Ultron though, I never let him come at me. Luckily, the guy who uses him never knows how to defend Ultron, and even if he did, if we was defending Ultron, he wouldn't be attacking me.

Yeah, I have a new thought on my team, trading Logan out for Spiral. She is 4 points cheaper, and starts with the deadly Flurry/Blades with a 10 attack. Mandroid has to TK her into battle, but with a good couple of rolls, Spiral can decimate any figure on the board. Especially if the target's INV gets outwitted.
Logan is just really Tough to keep on his Flurry/Blades because they are at an odd spot in the dial. Spiral has it from the start, and is much easier to keep there. Logan Regenerates though, so a good knock on SPiral can take her out.
I have the most trouble with Ultron/Enhanced EE at multiple targets. Id rather face Firelord. At least he's only decimating one figure at a time......
Why not use V-Wasp instead of V-Yellowjacket? She'd give you a free moving flier and a slightly higher defense. It would also fit a bit more into the characters. Logan and Nick are friends and have worked together. SHIELD and Avengers have worked together, too.
Oh, and V-SHIELD Sniper is 18, not 14. I think you should drop one of the lower medics and put in another Sniper or Trooper for more firepower. The Skrull agent doesn't seem to have much place here, either. Just put another SHIELD goon in its place.

I know all about the deadly Spiral attack. In a game I was playing my opponent took out Solomon Grundy with one flury attack. Two hits for 6 each. Zombie burgers anyone?

Well, Im waiting on Wasp to come in in a trade, so until then, Yellowjacket is pretty much a stand in. I would definately use her over Yellowjacket.
My Mistake on the Sniper, I used an E Sniper for 14, not the V Sniper. Also, Id LOVE to drop 2 of the medics in lieu of more offensive figures, but as I posted earlier, the Shield figures I listed are the only ones I have. Im thinking of ordering a bunch of Shield figures individually online so that I can work my teams out better. I usually only get 1 Shield person every 2 or 3 boosters, thats not much progress for my tight budget.
Heh, yeah that Skrull guy was about the best I could do figurewise as filler, I could have added Hydra, but that wouldnt have looked right at all. He has a small ranged attack, and a slim chance for the attacks against him to miss, but overall he is pretty much a blocking piece. I desperately need more Shield figures.
Thanks for the input, good calls all around.

Here's my take on the Shield/Logan thing I've been working with for awhile now. So far I haven't lost a game with them yet, an the first time Clay was added to the team, he did himself a whopping 14 total clix o damage EE attack :D
V shield agent
R shield medic x 3
V shield sniper x 2
U Nick Fury
U Elektra
LE Clay Quartermain
V Logan
E mandroid armor
298/300
Clay and the agent stay together, to help each other out with shield ability, cover fire, whatever. Snipers usually stick around each other, with a medic nearby for shield/healing if needed. Fury moves about and does his thing, also usually keeping a medic behind him while he's stealthed for shield, healing, whateva. Elektra I'll either let hop about on her own, or I'll just do as I do with Logan, and fastball special her in with the mandroid for some slicin n dicin.

Great team!
I dont have U Elektra or LE Clay Quartermain just yet, but that sounds like a really solid team, with 2 BCF figures.
This team has the potential to do MASSIVE damage. Logan can do a possible 12 on his flurry, Elektra could do 6, and EE mixed with Shield is devastating to clustered enemies, and the Shield ability works great against single enemies as well.
Fury is one of my favorites, his abilities are really cool. Steath/Leadership, then to RS/Outwit. When hes hurting he has Mastermind to keep him around until a medic can heal him.
This is one of my favorite teams to work with now that I have Nick Fury.

u could use 2 rookie thugs for 6 pts each just to tie down opposing figs. If they waste an action to kill them, you get free shots at them for the low cost of six points.

I think if I were playing against someone who fielded THREE medics I would utter a few profanities.

Heh, I can imagine. Ive acquired more shield now, so usually its only the Vet medic.
In the team before, they werent really used so much for their healing, but for their SHIELD ability. I push a lot for their added damage bonus, and pushing a medic usually drops the AV so low that its hard to heal even the weakest of figures.
Now with my added shield figures Ive acquired, Ive dropped 2 medics for more offensive oriented figures.

Sometimes I field 3 medics. It's only with my all-SHIELD team though, and usually only because one or more inevitably looses Support to an EE blast early on. I also like to be able to throw Medics around with Mandroids. Typically they heal once, and then get shot. On the bright side, SHIELD guys are cheap enough that I don't feel bad martyring them all. Expect Fury, of course. And Clay Quartermain, whom I like almost as much.
But SHIELD is an awesome team to play. You'll almost never need to worry about pushing, and you'll usually have somebody you can TK up next to a taxi or a charging Thing to get yourself a few free shots. Sure you pretty much need to have Nick Fury, but he's the only non-generic you'll have. In terms of what I could get for it, I think my 300-point SHIELD team is only worth about 25-30 bucks .... and that's WITH Fury. That's got to be one of the cheapest teams you can build that can consistently win games. Just don't try running in in a multiplayer game :)

That's true, Multi-team games (3 or more) do not favor the Colonel and his boys as much. Matter of fact, in my experience, my team became the main target because of the ability for us to do big damage, but the low difficulty for us to be hit. And as I posted earlier on, Ultron is something that Strikes fear into the heart of a Shield team.
I have now a full set of Mandroids for better positioning of my troops, and a full set of Snipers to cover Fury from a rooftop, as well as the full set of medics. Got a couple troopers and a couple agents, and now my Shield teams are much more fun to play with the extra offensive guys.
Ive tried making an ALL Shield team, but I can never seem to get any consistency without another Non-Generic figure to help out, because Up close and personal, most of these guys fall like a house of cards to the likes of Thing, or She Hulk.
They are great at range though....

Ultron doesn't scare me if there's only one of him. It's usually pretty easy to tk somebody up to him to stall. For all his points, Ultron can't do more than 3 clicks without a crit, so a Rookie Trooper for 11 points can hold off Ultron for 3 turns, unless he pushes. 2 is he breaks away. Exp Ultron only has what .... 3 clicks of Invulnerability?
I did forget to mention that I usually have an Exp. Black Cat with my SHIELD team though. I wouldn't say she's necessary, but she's very helpful. And the best thing is that her Spidey Ability lets her mock a SHIELD ability, so I can tell people she's Mockingbird.
