What effects do the walls have on the graveyard map for movement and line of sight, it's outdoors and there is no color border around them so we played as if they have no effect, is that right?

If it isn't surrounded by a colored line it's clear grounded terrain. If there are no special map instructions to state otherwise then it has no effect on movement or LOF.

thanks, just wanted to make sure, a couple players thought it worked like indoor walls, but the judge ruled correctly.

Indoor or outdoor, it has the same effect.Walls are a special type of terrain indicated by heavy black lines that run along the grid lines marked on the map. Walls have no boundary lines, but they do have all the effects of blocking terrain. Characters on opposite sides of walls are not adjacent, can’t target each other with close combat attacks, and do not need to roll to break away from each other. The edges of a map are not walls.

What he said. Walls are walls. They don't have to be indoors and they don't have special colors (other than the thick black border).
And, since it's an inevitable question.... Hammer of Thor's Captain America's special power is blocked by walls and indoor blocking terrain. Walls are walls whether they are indoors or outdoors.

The lines do look different then any map before, I think that's where the confusion might be coming from. But we played they were walls, as it should be.

Yes, I should have included the way walls are defined in my response. Frankly, the first time I looked at the map I didn't see the heavy black line marking them as walls, just the gray of the stone and the dark green of the background.

yeah this is what i saw also, so are they walls or nothing?

They are walls.
You might want to be aware to release some errata in the next players guide for this map as the walls are difficult for about half the people at our venue to see (ages varying from early teen to middle-age).
Then errata for the Blackest Night Starter map as the terrain marking lines are just as difficult to make out for walls, hindering, and possibly blocking terrain as well.

walls should have a white outline......I think that would stand out very well.

I'd need to SEE a map before I could issue errata on it. [grumble]

Wouldn't be any worse than keeping up with the old WizKids rules forum, would it?

It was mandatory to read the WK forums, but that never happened.
<barkingmoonbat>But there are no more judges, anyway. There are no rules. Under new WK/NECA, nothing is official.</barkingmoonbat>

Actually i went there and read them almost as much as here back in the day, but since i wasn't a judge i couldn't access the judge forums.
