how many boxes before u get a unique?

i seem to be having a lot of bad luck with hero clix. i have bought over 15 boxes of them and i still dont have a single unique. my question is how many boxes did u guys buy before u got a unique? thanks for ure replies

For Clobberin' Time, I only opened up 14 boosters, and got 2 uniques. I found out the trick to the uniques though. There are moment where you could never get a unique, because they're all sold out. From what I heard form my comic book guy, he says WizKids puts all the unique in the layer one unique is found. Let's say when you open a case, and on the second to the last layer is a unique, that is the layer where all the uniques are possibly found. Some stores just places them in order, so when someone smart buys like 2 boosters with one booster that has a unique, that person can buy 4 or 5 more boosters and get all the uniques in that case.

I've bought 65 boosters (some from each set) and gotten 10 uniques. The odds are about 1 out of 6. How many boosters do you buy at a time? If you buy several at once you're more likely to get one of that stores uniques. Just sounds like you're going through a rough patch. Last week I bought 7 boosters and got 3 uniques. Then this week I bought 10 at once and didn't pull a single one. Heck, I hardly got any veterans.It's all the luck of the draw.

Yes it is mostly luck when buying one or several at a time. My very first hc purchase was a marvel starter set that had 9 figures in it. One of those was U Spiderman! I've gotten about 25 boosters since then and pulled 2 Uniques.

Everyone seems to back up the claim that a case almost always contains 8 U's. I plan on testing those odds with my next paycheck:cool:

usually i get a unique one out of every four packs ( like if i buy 4 packs at the same time i get a unique) this only has happened to me with CT, because in HT I barely ever get uniques, so i only have 2 DC uniques. I've bought about 20 CT boosters, and i have 3 CT uniques, so it's about that ratio for me. I have good luck at buying single boosters of IC and gettin uniques. I once bought the last box my local store had and got a Thanos, so i gues that's pretty good luck.

I've opened 3 sealed csases of WK products now. The Uniques are actually well distributed throughout the case. In the case of the cases of CT and Minions I opened, there were 2 Uniques on each of the 4 levels.

I found that when I was buying boosters, if I bought at least 6 I was pretty sure to get a Unique.

I can't recall the exact numbers, but when HT came out I pulled, like, 6 uniques out of the first 12 boosters I bought. Dupes of Parasite, Batman and Gordon. That was the LAST of that kind of luck for me. Although....are dupes of Parasite really a good thing?

My first HC purchases were two DC starters; I got a U Batman out of the second starter.

WizKids packs one unique per every six boosters. In a sealed case there are 8 uniques, although occasionally there can be one fewer or greater. This is much more rare nowadays as WK seems to have solved the packing problems that existed when Infinity Challege first came out.

I've opened 3 sealed cases myself and have observed many more being opened. The uniques have always been 8 per case, but they are not packed evenly on every level, usually. The most extreme example: my Hypertime case, for example had 1 unique on levels one and two and 6 on level 4. (You can image how concerned I had become after going through three levels and only having 2 uniques, thankfully all turned out just fine.)

You have a high probability of getting uniques at a better ratio than 1:6 if you can choose randomly from a freshly opened case of 48, but still the only way to guarantee a really good pull is to buy sealed cases. (or cheat, but I don't advocate that.)

i feel like i've got the touch - i'm pulling 1 in about every 3 boosters i buy. i have 10 uniques, and i;ve bought just over 30 boosters. i have a friend, tho,who's bought about 15 boosters and has only snagged 1.

Hmmm, I didn't have much luck with Infinity Challenge - 35 boosters 6 uniques. Although that's apparently average.

I have apparently had phenomenal luck with Clobberin' Time.
So far I have bought 12 boosters and have pulled 5 uniques, including 3 Nightcrawlers to date.

Weirdest of all - the last 2 boosters I bought at Toys R Us, each had the top torn open - bought them anyway and each one contained a unique ( Super Skrull and Enchantress).

IC, the only way i can get a U is if someone else buys it for me
HT, pulled ONE U in all i've bought Flash.
CT however, the first 5 i bought had 2 Spiral and Red Skull. since then, everytime i buy one i get a U. No nightcrawler, but doubles of enchantress, red skull and spiral. trade fodder!

So far, I am batting 1000. I've pulled a unique from the first booster I've bought from each set.

I had a booster tourney tonight. First booster, I pulled an Enchantress in the normal slot for uniques. Second booster, I pulled a Spiral from the wild card slot (second down from top)! Two boosters, two uniques!

Me and a mate bought some on Saturday - I bought 2 CT and 3 HT boosters and ended up with U Superman, U Spiral and U Nick Fury. He bought 3 HT boosters and got U Superman and U batman...

i guess i'm pretty lucky, out of my first 3 boosters i got 2 uniques. Out of my eight boosters and starter in DC i got three uniques. In clobberin time i was really lucky, 6 boosters five uniques.

All the Uniques I got from boxes came out of starter sets. The rest I bought online. Generally it's a lot cheaper just to go out and buy the unique you really want. If you get the same one later, chances are you can trade him/her for another or something even better. Trick is to find someone who has way too many of everything else and none of that one that you've got. Of course, that's standard trade tactics. Anyway, I find that one out of every two starter sets has a unique in it. I've gotten three out of four boxes. I think it's because the pull is longer. More figures from the same portion of the line.
That's how I got mine. NEVER got any from boosters, but then, I've only bought four for each set, so...

I've only pulled one unique (Flash) from a starter set, although I guess I've bought around four or so. Incidentally, is it true that you generally get a better class of figures from a starter than a booster? It seems like I've gotten some pretty desireable characters in every starter.
I've so far traded for 3 uniques: Thanos, Captain America, and Nightmare.
Out of probably twenty boosters, I've pulled: 2 Nightcrawlers (sorry Itsy Bitsy, I've already traded the extra. Otherwise I'd probably just have given it to you since you seem like a nice guy), Elektra, Parasite, and Batman.

I think it's likely just honest luck.

I didn't get a unique in the first twenty-some-odd boosters of Mage Knight I bought.

Then, for some reason, I began pulling uniques occasionally.

When IC first came out, I bought ten boosters and a starter. The boosters contained no uniques, and the Starter had U Wasp in it.

Two weeks later, I pulled three Thanoses in an eight-day period from about six boosters.

There is a kid at my venue who's creepy. He's bought about ten boosters of HeroClix now, and has pulled six uniques. It's gotten to the point where people will give him THEIR money in order to buy boosters FOR them!

Luck of the draw. Sometimes affected by weird distribution, but luck nevertheless.

I've lost count of how mnay I bought, but I think I bought less then 10 DC boosters and I pulled Darkseid and Catwoman. I have no clue how many IC boosters I bought not incuding the case I split (we, being dumb sold all Uniques to lessen the cost of the case....DUMB!)

We recently split a CT case, 8 U's, and he bought a DC case....and EVERY U was in the bottom half. Every #### one.

The owner of my favorite shop once pulled 2 U's in a Starter. Only starter he ever opened!

Since Uniques tend to be split in a case (more in some rows), I think its best to agree beforehand to divide up all the uniques evenly - somebody's going to get annoyed otherwise! :)

When Clobbering time came out a friend and I bought 2 cases the only Figs that were not in there were U Nick Fury & Spiral. All of the uniques were either on the top of the case or the bottom.
Plus after splitting the cases we had enough trade bait to get the other two...
The only problem with buying by the case is that you get alot of the same things ie. 6 V Black Cat's, 20 Doombots a buttload of Toads, Blobs and Avalanches. You also get limited units of some... 1 V Blastaar, 1 V Invisible Woman 1 E Mandroid, 1 E Dr. Doom.

We also got LOTS of U duplicates. 3 U Spiderman, as well as 2 Red Skulls, Moondragon's, Super Skrull's, Titania's and Mojo's

Thank you for all ure replies and advice on getting acquiring a unique. Today, i bought a infinity challenge booster, and recieved a Unique Thanos. I finally have one. THANOS. thanks for all ure help and replies again. oh and i bought about 30 boosters for this Thanos

Cool that you got a unique Thanos, it was more than luck I think. I used my Martian Manhunter abilities and felt that Thanos.

In my Starter I got Unique Wasp, within the next three Boosters I got Unique Vision, and with more Boosters (maybe 6) I got Unique Stealth Wolverine (Katana).

However, I also got some really great figures that aren't uniques!
