Hmmm... how many times are you going to throw Killer Moth up there before you get the hint? :)

No Aquaman? We don't even have a classic version w/o a Starro on his face-o
Edit: Forgot about the Brightest Day set. Yeah, he'd better be in that...even if the high collar isn't the classic look...close enough, I guess. But I love your list otherwise! ;)

I'm thinking 75th finally brings us Red Son. Also, a newer Prometheus would be most excellent (I won't even mention Larfleeze, Atrocitus or Laira...wait, guess I just did).

A White Lantern was mentioned, but I don't remember a specific character being named.

As many as it takes for them to make it.
It worked with Corgi and Mattel. I have no reason to stop now. :)

Justin said it would be Sinestro if Dc approved White Lanterns since they have I say he is more likely than Superman (who will more liley be used to sell the Collectors Set
And a Dr Sivana remake??? Already we just go one in Crisis and although that was 2 years ago its only 2 sets for a rather minor villian
I say that spot is more apt to go to Osiris
And Black Manta and Jay?? They were in Arkham and we expect remakes but really much bigger names who should get them first
I also hope that we only get 2 variation of the generics and the LE is left where it should be. There is no way 3 generic Kobra boys are needed
I also see no need to Remake Dawnstar (already super good) before we get either some newer Legion or needed remnakes

I woud love a Stargirl/S.T.R.I.P.E. duo, but lets hope they leave out the AE's in order to get more figures in.
Steph Brown Batgirl would be nice, as would Modern Age legal versions of Cassie Sandsmark and Jaime Reyes.

Thankfully he's only the biggest arch-enemy of the guy that grossed the most sales in the 1940's. Captain Marvel Adventures was putting out over a million copies per issue in it's peak.

Just give me a broken Superman... please!
michiganj24
04/16/2010, 18:52
That may be but as far as DC is concerned he is a throwaway villain. And Captain marvel is barely treated any better so yeah seems silly to remake him before say a villain who actually is soemthing. Maybe he will show up when they do that Capt Marvel movei till then nahh

Yeah well right now this set is just total guess from Boney as we dont even have an announced theme other than 75 years. Not like WOS where we know its mostly Siege/Reign and Spidey
I would not be surprised if this is the set Justin hinted at to have a Superman subtheme in which I woudl expect to see some Super Friends and Foes which would include New Gods like Lightray, Forager, Steepenwolf and Mantis

I woule be more than happy to never see another version of Hal Jordan or Barry Allen again. There are more than enough and enough variations that it should please most, if not all of their fans. How about a new Bane and Superboy (Connor)? I will still keep my fingers crossed for a new carded Azrael (Jean Paul Valley) with special powers, but I won't hold my breath. A Kyle Rayner GL and Connor Hawke GA duo would be great too.

If this is the set list, I'm not impressed. A few(Ragdoll, Maxwell Lord, Jade) caught my eye, but the rest are kinda "meh" to me.

Barry still needs a regular, non-funky version. There's a million different versions of Barry...but they're Barry dying. Barry the Blue Lantern. Barry the duo figure. Barry the Starro slave. Barry the "Hey, where the heck is just Barry?" Barry is lacking so far, though.
Regarding Sivana, though...I was going to say that the Ultra-Humanite was a better choice, but he came out even more recently than Sivana did.

i think the Schuster and Siegal case took the Copyright away from DC and gave it back to them, i could be wrong but idk

Even if it took away Superboy (not from Dc but from Licensing) It woudl not stop them from having Connor Kent on the dial (Like Mikram instead of Gizmo)

i'll go on record now and say that about 10 of these figures will probably be in the set. his last list wasn't so accurate. it's all good though. i kinda like not knowing till the set is upon us. if they're smart, white lantern sinestro will stay the brick fig like they SAID they would.

Proposed Brick Fig - White Lantern Sinestro
November 2010
UPDATE: We will also be doing a standalone Brightest Day Product - Still in concept stage (great follow up to BN)
THE END
I'd say this is pretty reliable as far as what the brick figure will likely be but of course it says "proposed" so who knows what will really happen. I hope it's WL Sinestro but an Action Comics #1 recreation would be a neat piece as well.
All in all I like this list, hopefully we see most of these figs :)

04/17/2010, 01:38
Well since they said the brick figure is actually a White Lantern my guess is Action is so out as I dont see it being Whit Lantern Supes holding the car. So i say 98% Sinestro 2% Supes
and just realized Boneyards list has 5 glaring Omission the 5 Heads of the Corps (Walker, Atroc, Larfleeze, Indigio and Star Sapphire Carol) and you have to think their is no way thet leave them out unless they really want to get hate mail

The family does, in fact, own the rights to Superboy. DC lost that case right around the time of Infinite Crisis. So, between Superboy and Superboy Prime DC dragged both characters through the mud and there wasn't a whole lot left to the characters (heck, one was dead). Dc then said "Here's your Superboy rights."

I just think too many figures on the Boneyard list put up have too recently been done or represented. I really didn't want to put Hal and Barry up here but how to do a 75th Anniversary without them. I think the AE things hould be far and few between. I'd prefer they did not count the AE as two seperate figures for the total count.
I might not mind seeing the return of Arch Enemies in this set.
Just my two cents
BattlinBichon
04/17/2010, 12:37
I think they need a giant figure so my guess is Titano will get his due. Plus I hope we see more Legion members (Sunboy&Blok if you really want to know)
not enough Lanterns, too many remakes
Gothic Lolita
04/17/2010, 12:45
I hope that we finally get Killer Moth this time, cause he's long over due.
I don't think we need anpother Flash (Jay Garrick) we just got one not to long ago & no Great Ten

04/17/2010, 14:44
Here's hoping Grace and/or Thunder is in this set. I think after this, they're going to fall into obscurity and when/if they appear five years later, they will get the same reaction most gave to Carl Caveson.

To everyone posting:
1) list is guesses at this point - guesses are based off of what's going on with DC licensing and what has been recently made/updated.
2) Since this is NECA's first real DC set, we can assume that a) they'll push the big three as well as GL and Flash and b) they'll continue to support the newer game mechanics such as Alter-Egos and Duos.
3) For some reason, Arkham Asylum remains a blind spot on my radar. I've adjusted selections based on it.
4) Did I mention almost everything is a guess? As the kids say, chillax. If you think you can come up with a more accurate list, there's nothing stopping you.

Boneyard I think you're typically pretty damn close to dead on. I meant no disrespect just my 2 cents. I don't mind AE but I hope they are sporadic and not a routine. Even they pretty much made the point on the wizkids site stating that they wont make an AE unless it met certain criteria.
Generic team building is fine. Although I think I'd like to see more team builing within the team established ie. Checkmate/PD/Army, Amazons, League of Assassins and Apokolyps types.
I also hope the set will reflect more history including the western and war heroes. Not in a huge splash but enough to hint at that piece of the history. Would not mind some Vertigo stuff too. Would also maybe like to see Static or Hardware to reflect milestone.
but who knows if they'll really look at the theme of the set so comprehensively?!?
We'll see.

I could easily see Milestone, Red Circle, Charleston and Fawcett characters in this set... however, DC might want to concentrate on their "own" heroes - they've always shown preference to characters that started with National and American Comics over all of their other purchased liceneses.
You'd think Death or Sandman would be a lock for this set, but there's a long standing exclusion for these Vertigo characters. It's too bad, they were in one of the best comics DC ever published.
If I had my dream list, it would be filled with very obscure characters like the Bug-Eyed Bandit, Warlord, Jemm Son of Saturn, Space Cabbie, Bat-Mite, Detective Chimp, Antro and of course my favorite the Killer Moth. but looking at it from DC's and Neca's point of view, I'm sure they'd rather have a 75 anniversary set filled with name-brand heroes rather than head-scratchers.

I think we both have a similar respect for the rich history.
I was at the NY Comic Con last year for a DC Universe Online panel with Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and Len Wein. Wein was being presented as the story crafter behind the scenes helping to flesh out the depths of DC's characters. I smiled when he mentioned the bug eyed bandit.
The Brave and the Bold cartoon has been giving some good exposure to some of your favorites. Detective Chimp and Killer Moth were in a single episode last night.
I thought of Space Cabbie when I wrote my suspect list. I honestly have little familiarity with the character outside his appearance in the 2 book set History of the DC Universe published after the Crisis of Infinite Earths.
But I think sometimes the clix have made me a fan of characters I otherwise did not care for. I'm a 30 year comic collector. I'll be 36 this week.
I always knew the Legion but never cared about them till Cosmic Justice. Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad found themselves on my teams alot back then. The LEs for Supergirl, Brainiac 5 svaungh erin were the beginning of my must collect them all attitude for all clix legion.
My point being who knows maybe the clix will elevate Cave Carson or a Space Cabbie. Or maybe not.

I'm needin' some Legion love. the closest they came to the Legion in BatB was classic Brainiac. If they neglect the Legion in this set it would be a travesty of justice.

Red Robin you might as well Bold. We haven't had a set with 'character cards' that hasn't had a Robin in it.

I just realized that a rocket Red REV would fit in perfectly. You could have a generic, the Manhunter agent, and Dmitri. A new Rocket Red is set to appear in Generation Lost, so it'd be timely. The JLI AT doesn't hurt, but probably wouldn't have much bearing.

I get the feeling this set will be Brightest Day heavy. So in addition to the various Lantern "New Guardians" I'd be looking for the rest of the 12 resurrectees that didn't make it into the Brightest Day collectors set. So Jade, Max Lord, Hawkman, Hawk... Seems like I'm forgetting someone.
I'd really like to see Generation Lost represented, too. (Well, not just Max) Booster Gold will be in three books as a regular for a six month stretch, and really needs a Modern Day update, as do Fire and Ice, although I could make sue with the duo fig if I must. Captain Atom is hugely overdue for a new version, and I'd like to see an experienced Jaime Reyes Beetle. A Rocket Red - either Dmitri or the new one from Generation Lost is fine.

There's going to be a Brightest Day collector's set, as far as I know. While this isn't saying that Brightest Day won't feature into the 75th anniversary set, it may not be all that prominent.
what I like to see is
15 Golden age characters
15 Silver age characters
15 Bronze age characters
15 Modern age characters

Chase: Wonder Woman (Black Lantern)
to the bold, I say thee: Ugh. I have enough versions of these figures, in Moderna Age no less. However, it is a 75th anniversary set, so I expect a certain amount of marquee characters, even if I don't want/need them.

'Mouse, tell me that's true?! at least semi-firm rumour-type true? I've been asking for those two, plus a Captain Comet, since I got inducted into this plastic crack ring.
Would like to see a Black Orchid also, but 75 yrs of DC history leaves a ton of openings. Challengers of the Unknown deserve more than a Pog for that matter...

I hope we get them separate. They deserve autonomy.
Why on Earth would we be getting another Dawnstar when there are several unmade Legionnaires that we need or at least decent remakes of brainiac 5 and Chameleon Boy?

Nothing but a wishlist, but Tattooed Man and The Fiddler could both make great clix sculpts and playing pieces. Both have had their share of comic book relevance/face time too.

My comments about your list are never "OMG SKY IS FALLING," as I know it's a work in progress from guesswork to legit fact. I also know how long that takes.
Having looked at the list again, though, please not another Hal Jordan. It was frustrating enough getting another one in next week's starter, on top of the Starro slave and Crisis one. I'm glad we got those, but he wasn't needed again (yes, I know...sales and marquee name). I would prefer a Lantern of almost any color that hasn't been made yet.
Replace the AE with Brion Markov/Geo-Force.

Well it appears NECA dropped a big hint of an upcoming DC figure based on a card shown in the new rule book.
The character has Shapeshifting and corrosive Skin. At first people thought it was chameloen but AFAIK he never had that power but one dC character does.

Of the set list, I'd want:
5. Catwoman (classic)
9. Mr. Zsasz
11. Cheetah
12. Hourman (Golden Age)
15. Bwana Beast
16. Clock King
17. Blue Beetle (Jamie?)
19. Jade
22. Ocean Master
23. Atomic Skull
24. Killer Moth
26. Mera
27. Resurrection Man
28. Flash (AE)
30. Kanja Ro
31. Hawk
33. Silver Banshee
34. Warp
36. Guy Gardner (GL?)
38. Ragdoll
40. Maxwell Lord
41. Vibe
43. Negative Man
44. Green Lantern (Alan Scott)
45. Starman (Mikkal?)
46. Vixen
48. Weather Wizard
49. Brainiac (classic appearance)
50. Green Lantern (AE)
51. Joker
52. Darkseid (Final Crisis?)
53. Professor Zoom
54. Wonder Woman
55. Batman (only if it's Dick Grayson)
59. Superman (Classic? New Krypton?)
So I guess a good percentage (some I put the versions I'd want in parentheses...the number drops if that's not the version we're talking about). I'd rather do a Pump and Dump of about a dozen characters though. No new LOSH members, Freedom Fighters, Titans, Injustice Society? The Captain Marvel villain is a remake (of a fairly recent character with a good dial)? Mr. Terrific and Atom as a duo before they get made as singles? Two REV generic sets, and neither of them are Atlanteans or Thanagarians? Agh. ;)
Based on how good HoT was, how good WoS is already looking, and how mediocre BatB was, I'd hope they'd do their best to hit the 75th Anniversary set out of the park. I don't think this does it, but it's a pretty good base to do so with a few tweaks, IMO. It's got Ragdoll and Negative Man, which are two of my top DC wants.
Why is Starman on the list twice, BTW?

Because Mikaal is a 70's character who we haven't got yet, Thom is a modern/vintage character we haven't got and Jack Knight could use a serious re-do.

Okay. It just looks weird with the same three names for both entries. Unless you'd really like to have two different versions of the character, it would seem more consistent with other entries who could be multiple people to just have the name there once with all the potential identities in parentheses.
I'd love a LOSH Starman...but I'd rather that second slot went to Sun Boy or Ferro Lad. :)

Hm... I noticed a distinct lack of split dials on my list. So, since they're in the new GL book, here's one more for my mush pot:
Varth Sarn and Isomat Kol.
Plus, a new Bane would be welcome. Preferably one who has non-Venom and Venom stats, for Secret Six teams. Vrill Dox would be welcome as well, given the huge push he's getting.

Didn't say they were new- just that they were in the new book. :p
I think we'll see more Titans in this set. A new Superboy and Wonder Girl.. and hopefully Cyborg, Raven and Starfire.. maybe a new Red Tornado..
And sad as it is.. we'll probably see remakes of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman..
I think they also hinted that the Lanterns were going to be a big subset in this set.. so.. here's hoping for that..

Of course by the Lantersn they hinteed at my gues sis they meant Larfleeze, Saint Walker, Indigo 1, Atrocious and maybe even Carol Ferris Star Sapphire (plus hopefully one more SC like Kara Sil or Mongul)

It's an anniversary set, so we're certain to get more versions of the big names. Let's hope for a little creativity. I'm hoping for:
1 Wayne Boring Superman: Slightly pot-bellied, with a look of bafflement as the pre-silver age weirdness goes on around him. Since the Comics Code Authority is in full control, he can't actually damage any other figures (that would be wrong), but he's the best tie-up/harassment figure in the game.
2 Wonder Woman/Eta Candy duo-click. And I want the cherubic, 40's Etta Candy with a candy cane in her hands. Candy Cane would be a great named power for Plasticity.
3 Machine-gun Batman. Maybe a double base with Robin, blowing away Nazis.
4 The amazing Transformations of Flash double base. Barry Allen's greatest silver age transformations! The dial represents different things Barry was turned into, with multiple sculpts on the base, ala "Dying Flash". Barry the puppet! Barry the Robot! Barry the living sound wave! But absolutely NO ordinary Barry Allen figures, EVER.
5 Aquaman. And he gets a summon fish power that creates Bystander tokens of octopus and flying fish and whatnot. Also, he gets a freaking map full of water to use it in.
See? It will be great!

"He Got What He Deserved" might not show up as a power name.
Batman with a pistol almost certainly will show up in the next set or so - Batman's packing heat again in the First Wave series and it'd be something different and make perfect sense for pistol-packin' Batman to pop up in the 75th Anniversary Set.

They said it was the suggested BitB figure- what they are trying for. Doesn't mean it will be, but its pretty high in the standings.
I didn't even think about First Wave. Adds another layer into possible figures- First Wave Batman, First Wave Black Canary, Azzerello Joker (Sorta related).
I'd still love a purple gloved, high eared Batman straight from Detective 27 though.

I don't necessarily think First Wave version characters will be made, insomuch as it increases the chance for certain characters to pop up. 75th Anniversary DC Set + First Wave = Pretty good chance of a pistol packin' Batman. I'm also willing to bet that the Spirit shows up.
I'd still love a purple gloved, high eared Batman straight from Detective 27 though.
The Batman unique from Origins was their "Detective 27" Bats. Looks pretty good, except the gloves aren't purple. They made a version with a purple ring, if that does it for you. : - )

Yes he was the suggested figure but then they did announce that a White Lantern was the BIBTB figure for the set so yeah put 2 and 2 together
(It was in the Brightest day announcement where there is 7 in the box set
(Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, Deadman, Osiris, Hawkgirl, and Captain Boomerang) , 2 in the set(Likely Max Lord and then either Hawkman, Jade, Hawk or Professor Zoom) and the BIBTB fig
I think they should have just done a Hawkman/Hawkgirl duo in the Boxed set though)
And I did not know Batman was using a gun In First Wave well then

I have bought and read all the Aquaman Showcase volumes out thus far (three of them!) and I almost started a thread one time about the crazy stuff he pulled off in those old stories and how those ridiculous stunts might be translated into clix.

How can John Stewart NOT be in this set? :(
A Hal Jordan AE that would work with a Green Lantern and Parallax figure (or a split-dial Green Lantern/Parallax) would be awesome, however.

At GenCon '08 Seth told me that classic/Silver Age Aquaman was perpetually on their "to do" list and got bumped set after set for various reasons (JL b/c DC wanted to promote the new Aquaman, AA b/c they didn't want him to be overshadowed by the uber cool Black Manta on Shark, etc.). He lead me to believe, or I inferred incorrectly from his hints, that Aquaman was definitely on the final list for "the set after AA". Looking back on that brief few minutes I spent talking to him, I wonder if he wasn't just patronizing an obvious fanboy :disappointed:

I think he was but remeber we lost about 10 figures in that set (5 right off teh bat and the fact that LE's were moved into the set)
The Only other reaosn is that Aquaman was just about to be a BL and they planned for that but the shut down made that a no go

I love how for the last 2-3 DC sets Boneyard has predicted: Warp, Atomic Skull and Killer Moth. There may be more on here that are multiple time previous attendees on the Boneyard list. I think Kamandi, too, maybe? I'm all for half of those, though. ;-)
Not having Beast Boy/Cyborg in the last set still feels like a dropped ball to me.
I'd love to see Al Pratt Atom finally get made, along with any other All-Star Squadron members NECA may want to bless us with.
I also wonder what the odds are that the cash in more heavily on the Charlton Comics stuff.

Killer Moth isnt so much a prediction as a havey want for Boney
Kamaandi def fits here as it plays into the History of Dc theme.

According to Seth, Killer Moth has been on and off no less than three set lists.

This set really has the potential to take it over the edge in many ways.
First off its the first real DC set from Necca /Wizkids. They should be able to use this to get a lot of publicity and interest.
Second it should contain a lot of Digital sculpting. (I was able to hold all the figures from the new starter in my hand and they are way better than anything we have had before. When you see and hold them your desire for more will increase.)
Third they could really capitalize on the seventy-fifth aniversity by making the set 75 figures or a regular set with send aways, chases and a collector set.
Fourth by picking characters from each of the ages they can fill lots of holes for older players, collectors and new players.
Golden age figures like the Atom, Mr terrific, Dr. Midnite, Hourman, and the Red Tornado would complete that era's JSA and make many fans jump for joy.
Silver Age characters like Negative Man or JLA characters like Aquaman, and Green arrow would be a lot better than the vesions we got with starro's on their faces, and let's not forget characters like the challengers, Sea Devils, or Atomic Knights.
The Bronze age could add to the legion, fourth world, and introduce characters like the Manhunter, Kamandi, Starman or a new Swamp thing.
Then there is the modern age here's hoping it includes characters from Blackest Day, and Brightest night

I hope the one main figure I want that they bring out in this set is the Dick Grayson/Batman figure.
Beside him I would also like to see a few Green Lanterns and one MISSING JSA member show up. Kilowog and Soratek Natu from the GL Corps and the original Atom-Al Pratt from the JSA.
Also have them all be solo figures and no more duos.

Seeing as how this is supposed to be an Anniversary set, I'm guessing it will be primarily re-prints of their most popular characters. For the most part, this is not a good thing. However, there are certain characters that I think need an update to bring them up to current levels of competitiveness. Some of these include:
1. Superman - Like the Superman in Icons that dominated for so long, we need a regular, common Superman that can show everyone why he's called Superman. HOT did this with Thor, and this set needs to do this with Superman. Give us a Superman (non-chase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) that people will be scared of.
2. Aquaman - The original Hypertime Aquaman and Arthur Curry figures got plenty of play, as they were decent for their day. Give us a new one with powers that represent the best this character has to offer.
3. Vixen - With all of the powers she can copy, it wouldn't be unreasonable to give her a white power similar to the one given to Nico Minoru that lets her use any standard power for a turn.
4. Cyborg - Let's get a power-accurate playable version of this character.
5. Superboy - Now that he's back, what better time to bring him back in an up-to-date clix form?
6. Cheetah - The first one was great. Time for a new, scarier version.
7. Despero - This guy should be really frightening. Bring back the psychic, brute version.
8. Mongul - Let's see the guy that conquers planets, complete with yellow rings and Sinestro Corps keyword!

Doctor Occult is a fictional character, a magic user in the DC Comics universe. Created by Superman's creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Doctor Occult is the earliest character created by DC Comics still currently in use in its shared universe fiction.
If this set is supposed to show DC through the ages then their oldest character should definately be in it. He also had a pretty decent story not to long ago in Reign in Hell.
With green lantern properties getting red hot now, they should have a decent showing too.

Although I am no fan of Blackest Night, I agree with this. I think around 10 or 12 pieces of the set ought to be devoted to the rainbow lanterns, to recognize their impressive contribution to DC's current sales.

I really hope you're way off on this list.
To me, the 75th Anniversary Set, ought to be the best of the best. It should be an updated version of Icons. If you are remotely familiar with comics, you'd recognize 90% of the figures from the set.
And for Granny Goodness sakes, we have great versions of Dr Sivana, Brainiac, and some others. Let's see some updates of main characters we haven't gotten, Catwoman, John Stewart, etc...

That may be but as far as DC is concerned he is a throwaway villain. And Captain marvel is barely treated any better so yeah seems silly to remake him before say a villain who actually is soemthing. Maybe he will show up when they do that Capt Marvel movei till then nahh
Being a 75th anneversary though, I think you could bet on a JSA Batman , Wonderwoman, and Superman showing up, and a Captain Marvel remake isn't out of the question (although I think Mr. Mind is more likely than Sivana, or another Black Adam).
I'd also expect an Al Pratt Atom and Terry Sloane Mr. Terrific.

With the announced Brightest Day set, there are now a few Must Haves for me:
1. Eradicator - Still tops my list to complete the Reign of the Supermen story. Mattel actually beat WizKids when Superboy was released recently.
2. Lantern Corps Leaders:
- Atrocitus
- Larfleeze
- Saint Walker
- Indigo 1
and I'd gladly take a second member of each corps. Vice, Warth, you get the idea.
3. Maxwell Lord - should have been in AA or BB with all the Checkmate and JLI in those sets.
4. Black Lanterns - They should be(have been) central and easily available, not chases.
- E2 Superman
- Firestorm
- Abin Sur (alien who gave Hal Jordan his green lantern ring)
[Martian Manhunter should be here on this list, but not sure what to do with him since BL version was a chase in BB).

I think its due to not really having a clue about this set yet.
Most sets kind of gives us an idea at least recently
Arkham featured Batman foes and bad guys in genral
HOT was abut Asgardians
SI was Skrulls and the guys who fought them (mainly FF)
Even BATB was about duos but 75th is so ambiguous at this point. Perhaps when we get the first press release like with Spidey we will see the sub themes and the set list can be refined and more will join the mush
Also realize that most of the mush pot ends up there only after we have confirmed figures which we have none
I must admit I am a little disappointed in the mush pot list. There are usually at least 20 figures on that list.
the rumoured list looks really........underwhelming :ermm: doesnt have the NEW UNMADE war of light characters like indigo 1, atrocitus, saintwalker, larfleeze that are a no brainer. And lacks any other interesting unmade characters.......it has a bunch of remakes of characters that have already been made in modern age like Dr.Sivana yuck seriously with a title like 75th anniversary you would think they would give us some definitive versions of popular classic characters if they are going to remake a bunch of figs.
With the above in mind and given that the spirit of the set calls for honoring DC's history...my choices:

Nice list again, Soxolas. But I would take out the Trigger Twins (Pretty obscure) and Luthor/Joker. Did they really team up that much in the Silver Age?
Batlash would fill in for the Trigger Twins well- he's a much more well known Western character. Not sure who would sub for Luthor/Joker though.

Thanks much! Certainly, that's a fair point about the Trigger Twins and obscurity. I had them listed as my western piece mostly because I was intrigued by the idea of a western Duo.
As a result, the alternate on my "draft sheet" was a Duo of Tomahawk & Dan Hunter. Frankly, I went back and forth a lot on that particular slot. In the end, the fact that Tomahawk dates back to the late 1940s made me think that maybe I should give that Silver Age slot to the twins.
Most definitely, if I were to pick a non-Duo for my western slot, Bat Lash would be the guy. I give him the edge over El Diablo, who I like because of the possible Mystics element, but showed up right at the end -- if not right after -- the Silver Age.
As for Joker & Luthor --- they teamed at least twice in World's Finest that I remember. The first time was in the late '50s, in a comic I picked up for a nickel at a local thrift store a few years later.
I never forgot that one --- interior art by my favorite Batman artist (Dick Sprang) and a cover that STILL leaves me baffled by the fact that the story is about Luthor & Joker joining forces, yet neither is pictured on the cover!
Anyway...I think their place on my list as a Silver Age team has more to do with a historical consideration, rather than how frequently they got together...

So I thought of a way to do Resurrection Man.
He could have a Lazarus Pit-like trait, but working on every turn, and when you rez him, you roll 2 die, and assign him a certain pairing of powers determined by his card. Like roll a 10, that'll give you Flight and Penetrating/Psychic Blast with 6 range; roll a 8 get Super Strength, etc..
I guess it'd be sort of like the Dial H for Hero dial, and it'd be random just like the character. He'd probably only be about 5-6 clicks long, and I guess depending on his stats, between 75-100 points.
Awesome list I would take out Congo Bill (A/E), Congorilla (AE) & Jimmy Olson (AE) & then add Lady Blackhawk (Zinda Blake), Nightmaster, Rick Flagg or the Unknown Soldier.
Thanks much! Some unlisted characters troubled me more than others and you've mentioned two of them in Zinda and Nightmaster. So, I could add them without hesitation, except...
I must confess that I'm hooked on giving Congo Bill and Jimmy the A/E treatment. Congorilla's presence on the list was a deciding factor in leaving off Titano and Detective Chimp...lest the list become one of too many simians...
Then again, maybe I could take away the Jimmy-Elastic Lad A/E and, as rorschach_42 suggests, the Joker & Luthor Duo --- adding, in their place, Zinda, Nightmaster and a Duo of Superman & Jimmy as Nightwing & Flamebird!
And still keep my Congorilla in the mist!

no Superfriend Don't bring back the whole a/b dial thing from SI. I hated that mechanic. I want who is represented by the figure/sculpt. If I have a Green Ms. Marvel I want a skrull Ms. Marvel not wonder if she's a skrull even though she's green.
I just want the main 7 lanterns again and I'll be happy. I don't need anyone else and I won't complain. But it would be nice to get saalak and Kilowog but then I'de also like a Parallax kyle rayner and hopefully all the emotional entities as objects kinda like thors hammer.

It'd be nice if they went ahead and knocked out all of the "New Guardians", Atrocitus, Larfleeze, etc.. but since we just got Hal, they could go ahead and do a playable Ganthet, since he was technically the Green deputy in the story, and is currently a Lantern. Or give us a remade John Stewart of Kilowag.

For a DC Anniversary set, this really should be like a celebratory set. It ought to have a nice mix of DC characters, a lot that people can remember, along with characters spanning the history of DC Comics.

I'm not getting my hopes up for this set; they can call it "DC 75th Anniversary" but I suspect most of the set will be representational of the last 5-10 years.
No Legion? We still need Sun Boy, Polar Boy, Blok, Light Lass, and XS.
Captain Comet (or even Comet) would also be nice. Tired of using mods for all these.......

No. It is because although Egg-Fu has enough history with the team to get the keyword, he isn't actually one of the current ten.
The Great Ten
1. August General in Iron
2. Accomplished Perfect Physician
3. Ghost Fox Killer
4. Celestial Archer
5. Immortal Man in Darkness
6. Thundermind
7. Socialist Red Guardsman
8. Shaolin Robot
9. Mother of Champions
10. Seven Deadly Brothers
Others, like Chang Tzu and Yeti are associated with the team but are not part of the official Ten. 3 of the main 10 have been made. 7 have not.

Terra-Man? The Prankster? Ultra-Humanite as bald guy in wheelchair? Pre-Crisis Metallo, in green and orange suit on sky-sled? Toyman II (think Legion of Doom)? Galactic Golem? Atomic Skull? Blackrock? Purple Piledriver? Generic SKULL Troopers? Earth-Two Luthor? Composite Superman?

Aside from the duo figures in the SR slots (yuck), I really dig this list. I'm no longer a completist, but I would totally buy a case of this set.

Pre-Crisis Metallo would work, but I don't want Metallo two sets in a row. He's a bit to second string for that. The Prankster and the OG Ultra Humanite is a good idea, though I'd want the Delores Winters version.
The Toyman would be cool (especially if they continue making figures based on Justice), and I'm sure some guys would like the Galactic Golem. In short, you came up with two many good suggestions for two slots!

I believe this set is going to cross all the eras with representation ie golden age, silver bronze etc...
I have a strong feeling we will get a
1. Dr. Fate 60's
2. Blue Devil original costume 80's
3. Zatanna for today
They will be linked by the mystical keyword with their other keywords.
What I like to see is a 75 fig set + 1 BiBtB & 4 Chases for a total of 80 figs. 20 Figs for each age including 1 chase for each age.

what about prize support LEs? another 5 to make it 85 total?, i'd like a big set, but i'd rather it be normal,
say 60figs+4chase+1bibtb+5LEs=70total
or upgrade the set to 65 then add all the bonus making it 75total lol then that would be good

I am definitely against having an equal number of figures for each age. I recognize the beauty of dividing everything into perfectly even numbers, but I think that having half to three-fourths of a set representing a time in comics before most of us were born is a bad business model. This is a game which is dependent upon people recognizing characters that they get in their boosters. While some of us would get all nerd-crazy over this game giving us a history lesson about DC comics, I think many others would find it tiresome.
Another reason I am against this is because of Blackest Night. While I, personally hated the comic, it was an unqualified success for DC comics which attracted readers in tremendous quantities. Many of those are Heroclix players. Many of the important and/or popular characters from the Rainbow Wars/Blackest Night have yet to be made. Loads of Heroclix fans have already had a cow over not getting these guys in Brave & the Bold and the Blackest Night starter set. If these characters don't show up soon, conniption fits will threaten to wipe out half the population of HCRealms. If we go with the model of only a quarter of the set per age, then there isn't much room for modern stories or characters that haven't been made or are in desperate need of a remake.
Do we really want to limit these groups to only a quarter of the set?
~ Secret Six (Ragdoll, Bane, Catman, Deadshot, Jeanette)
~ Morrison's Batman saga (Grayson Batman, Dr. Hurt, Professor Pyg, Knight & Squire, Le Bossu, Zur En Arrh Batman, Batman 666, Oberon Sexton, 99 Fiends, The Flamingo)
~ Other modern Bat-Family characters (Red Robin, Stephanie Batgirl)
~ Modern-era Zod or maybe World of Krypton Superman variant
~ Rainbow Lanterns / Black Lanterns
~ DC's modern Red Circle characters
~ Great Ten, Super Young Team, modern Rocket Reds
~ White Canary, New Aqualad, Aquagirl (Lorena), New Starro, villainous Max Lord, etc.
And that's just off the top of my head.
While I know not everybody wants all of these characters, there almost certainly exists fans of each amongst the Heroclix community. There's enough characters right there to fill an entire set. To squeeze this bunch, which includes one property that is manically popular, into a quarter of a set is almost guaranteed to upset more people than it will please.
I am not against having a theme of 12-20 characters jumbled together from past eras, but I think half to two-thirds of the set should be free of having to be from a certain era. Those slots should go to what people want and what will make for an interesting playable set.

I third it, but we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. WK is going to go where they think the money is; which likely means a lot of Skittle Lanterns. Taste the rainbow.
Well, as an anniversary set, it should be celebrating the entire history of the DCU from the beginning to now. That doesn't mean it has to have a large amount of Golden Age characters. When it comes to the Golden Age i'm more ambivalent about DC's characters than Marvel's, but that doesn't really affect what I think should or shouldn't be in a HeroClix set.
If it were me, I'd hope a couple of my pie-in-the-sky old school wants get in, and expect the big 7 and some of the larger yet not done Golden Agers to get in...and Brightest Day/Blackest night characters.
It's only 60 figures, so you know how this goes.

I am certainly not against older and/or obscure characters appearing, I just don't think they should dominate the set.

For what it's worth, I don't think this set is gonna be another Origin (not that's necessarily a good or bad thing). I mean, a 75th anniversary set could pretty much contain anything. Slap in a generic Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman and that COULD encapsulate your 75 years. Not that that is what is going to be either, i'm just saying...change the name of 75th anniversary to anything else and the set might still be the same in terms of contemt.

I would LOVE it if the White Lanterns were the chase figures. With their careers being so brief, I hardly think anyone needs them on their team, but they might be a nifty variant to get if you were lucky enough to pull them.
