View Full Version : EBay Price Summary

Here is the complete list. Please +/- about $2 for a good price range of what you can expect to see for Uniques. The +/- is MUCH larger for LEs. Also, these prices do not include shipping. Typical shipping costs seem to be about $2. Many factors can influence auction prices, i.e. feeding frenzies, but I think this represents a good price list. I will post again in a couple of weeks showing upward and downward trends.
Note: I am not selling these! This is a summary that I have put together from looking at EBay.

Thanks for the summary, I'm sure a lot of people will find it useful. It's nice to see them all priced in one place. I know a lot of people would want to see the LEs similarly priced out as well.
Ed
Spidersense, Thanks! That's good info.
If you are keeping track, and if its not too much trouble, maybe you could post the previous prices too, then would could see if figs are trending up or down (ie, wait to buy, or buy now!)
Again, thanks, I saw this list of yours a couple months ago and thought it was cool then too.
edit:
sale offer of previously mentioned Nightcrawler is pending. It went quick. Sorry.

I will post the LE prices when I have some time during a lunch hour. I will definately post the trends as well.
drhypnotic, is your site based on EBay? I dont want to steal someone's thunder. Not trying to pick, but there is no way Nightmare is going for $27.

Why is The Key one of the cheapest? He is cheaper than Gordon! The Key is very useful, I really don't understand the price for him. If I didn't already have him, I would definitely not hesitate to buy him for that price.

prices tend to fluctuate almost every other week. you just have to catch the figure you want on a "down" week (or if you're the seller, sell on an "up" week).

One main reason: Gordon is more recognizable.

ive got to disagree with your findings. i just sold my entire collection of le's. somewhere around 30 of them and ive got to say that for the most part NONE of the le prices were even close to what i got
frank schlichting $3 and bought at the last second too
kingpin $4
rahne sinclair $3.25
nenora 3.50
another nenora 3.75
just remember one thing guys, just cause someone has a huge bid on one item it doesnt always mean that they even pay for it
I had a couple guys never send me checks. secondly it might just be someone jacking up their own price because they didnt get what they wanted so they bid on their own stuff to get it back at less of a loss and try and sell it again.

I think you got some good deals there. I'd persoanlly buy all of those at those prices. I never see LE's for under $5 or I buy them. The cheapest LEs I found were T.O.Morrow and Jervis Tech for $5 each.
I check Ebay.. ALOT.

Well, if you look at the completed items on EBay for Nenora, someone just payed $11 and $6.50. That's not where I got $9 from, but looking at their feedback, I think there is a good chance that both will pay.
As I stated in the post, the swing for prices of LEs is much higher than uniques. I could see the prices you quote being paid, but I think they are on the low end of the range. Sorry you didnt get more.

Can I give you some ebay tips?
1. Always have pictures.
2. Start out low and have people bid you up and
3. This one is most important... ALWAYS.. ALWAYS:
End your auction at a reasonable time on the weekend. Thats when the most people are surfing ebay, thats when your auctions show up first in most searches, and more people bid at the end than the beginning.
Hope my tips are useful!

I concur TOTALLY with the Ebay tips as well. I sell video games on Ebay and I try to end my auctions on Sunday night when people are on line alot.

I also list my items to end on Sunday nights between 6pm and 8pm Pacific time. EBay's highest buyer traffic is on Sunday nights, and ending between 6 and 8 gives everyone across the continent ample opportunity to put in a last-minute snipe.
I've been having a lot of luck listing LEs starting at $9.99 (the highest starting bid for the lowest listing fee) with a buyout at just under the average going price. I get a lot of Buy It Nows. My recent sales:
Doctor Doom: $55 Buy It Now
Arthur Curry: $55 Buy It Now
Harleen Quinzel: $19.99 Buy It Now
Elektra Natchios: $13.00
George Tarleton: $25 Buy It Now
Johhny Storm: $26
Rita De Mara $25 Buy It Now
Did you find any price trends for Ben Grimm?
Thanks

Thanks, I added it to the list. Benjamin Grimm is going for about $33.50

Do you take shipping costs into account for these rates? I find that Ebay Heroclix shipping prices vary widely, and can have a big effect on how people bid.
Spidersense
02/22/2003, 21:29
I did not take shipping into account, and it does affect bidding to some degree. Most of the prices I researched were pretty consistent. There was an oddball price that I checked out once in a while, but the shipping was reasonable. IMO any shipping more than $2 is questionable, but that is just my philosophy. I think these deals were just good timing as is often the case on Ebay.
I got my Darkseid for $10 on Ebay and I was thrilled, but the average price is going for more than that.

Thanks for the list! I don't know why those FF LEs go for so much coin; they're much weaker than even the regular clix! Ah, collectors.....
Ghost_Rider
02/23/2003, 15:40
Benjamin Grimm is only weaker on the first click, and that is an entire extra click. He is very useful as you don't have to worry about taxi-ing him, just move him and next turn move him again. He will take one for pushing, but then ends up on his prime click. Not bad actually...

Bad news for those of you seeking out Nightcrawler on Ebay, he leads the winners on EBay with a +11. Red Skull saw the biggest drop for some reason, averaging out to -7
I will add the LE changes later today. See initial post for update.
Can we expect any more updates?
