Check out this Space Ghost (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3115466679&category=2537)
Hadn't seen this done yet. Thought I'd post it. Looks pretty nice.
Though it's done very well....
ther reason why you hadn't seen this done is because it actually against Wizkids to sell such figures.
EDIT: After actually reading the item. He is selling a E-Criminal. The Space Ghost repaint is a 'gift'
Thats a pretty cool gift, but I don't need a criminal. I won't be bidding on it. By the way, I have these Pet Rocks, and with each rock, I am giving away these awesome concert tickets. What? the rocks are $500, no officer, I'm not a scalper, I am merely a Pet Rock Vender...

Ha! Thats a pretty slick way to get around the "no selling customs" rule.
Not the base figure I would have selected for a Space Ghost mod but it looks good considering.

It's not only against Wizkids, it's against the law.

It's a nice looking mod though.

How is selling a mod any worse than overpricing a regular figure (the norm on Ebay)? Good looking mod.

A better Space Ghost would be a repainted Superman, to truely capture the utter rediculousness from his show.

I think the mod should of included a lil monkey looking over his shoulder.

Well, it looks like his auctions went through - did you see his Punisher set, shield agents with "dials unchanged". Gee thanks, three shield agent dials LOL, Punisher won't last too long like that I'm afraid.
Anyway, getting back to Spaceghost, what about Jan and Jace? What do they . . . well . . . do??? Other than getting into trouble and being saved, what is there function??
No one has answer for that, do they . . . . . . . . .
Well . . . . . . .
Didn't think so.
Now the monkey's purpose is obvious.

They were sidekicks. Batgirl and Robin to Space Ghost's Batman, except completely useless. And Blip the monkey? He saved the day a number of times. And he is a super hero on the monkey planet, where he goes for R&R (with his own monkey Lois Lane! Blip is the only SG character who sees any romance). But Jan and Jase never accomplish anything, aside from acting as bait.
ther reason why you hadn't seen this done is because it actually against Wizkids to sell such figures.
I'm still trying to wrap my noodle around this one, if I buy a car, and decide to paint it another color, then sell it, Ford has no legal right to tell me I can't sell it, how does Wizkids figure they do?
(Mind you, I don't sell mods and such, I'm just trying to figure this out)

Have to say never thought I would see a space ghost but he looks cool and hey, good for him with selling him I have a repaint captain marvel that I am proud of so I have to support the repaints
But what if you were to repaint your car with a Star Wars mural on the side. Are people now paying for the car, or for a painting of a copyrighted property that you have no right to use?
In this example, someone or some company owns the rights to Space Ghost. The person on ebay altered a Heroclix to look like Space Ghost, and sold it for $30. It went for that (large) amount because a licensed Space Ghost Heroclix does not exist. So if this object sold for big money because it is a likeness of Space Ghost, doesn't the owner of the Space Ghost character really deserve that money?
Let's try another example. There have been lots of calls from us fans for Star Wars Heroclix. Suppose I start modifying some existing Heroclix to look like Luke, Han, and Chewie, and then post them on ebay as "freebies" when you buy a Rookie Thug from me. I bet they would command high prices (if I did a good job with the mods), but that money really belongs to LucasFilms doesn't it?
So, yes, you can buy a Heroclix and repaint it if you want. But if you are modifying it to look like a character for which there is no Heroclix commercially available, and then you sell it, then you are really stealing money from the person or company that owns the rights to that character.
