I want to beat my boyfriend and his friends in Marvel with a 300 point team!!

Hi,
I just started plaving Marvel with my boyfriend and his friends, its really fun, but I only won once, we had 300 point teams and my score at the end was 361. I want to build a good team worth 300, they always pick the hulk, the thing, magneto, and stuff like that. I end up picking lots of characters worth a little bit of points so I have more of them!! I know I should be getting players with more vulnerability and stuff liek that, does anybody have a suggestion? He doesnt have all the charcters but he has a good bit of them. Thanks :rolleyes:

For a 300 pt team i always get at least three to four hitters usually two close combat hitters and two ranged, for range and ability in my opinion for his pts Dr Strange is the man, preferably veteran, or if you want to go with pure evil rookie Ultron with energy explosion and an ability to hit multi-targets with it. rookie hydra-medics, black panther of your choice for outwit, some good taxi's vultures wasps and rookie yellow jackets, as far as close combat Logan and or if you have the points Doc Oct is a well balanced fighter long or short range.

Ok. since you like small teams..

Try to get an experenced Black Panther. This will help you to outwit the Things invulnerability. Panther can also attack with blades/claws/ fangs..

Have a good amount of cheap flying figures..
Wasp, vulture, yellojacket, doombot... and use wasp's team ability to move for free.

For ranged attackers..
Bullseye
Doctor Strange
Pyro
and Boomerang are all great.

For close combat people..
Hercules
Elektra (the one with blades)
Sabretooth
Unique wolverine

If you use a lot of Blades claws fangs people, try to include a Vet black cat. Probability controll is a must.

Every team should have the following to maximize your team's effectiveness:

Vet Medic (I like the AIM Medic)
Probability Control figure (Vet Black Cat is sweet)
Outwit figure (Exp Black Panther, none better for cost)

After that, I like to throw in a solid brick like She-Hulk. I'd say more, but I'm late for work!

Just check the battle formations rate and review. There are a TON of good armies in there and I can give ya a couple links to teams if ya like.

This team went 99-1 for me.

The 100th game I played I couldn't roll to save my life and my opponent was blessed with his rolls the entire game. Out of five BCF rolls he got 6 6 5 4 6 for damage. And whatever he needed he rolled, if he needed a ten he rolled a ten. Eleven? He rolled an eleven. And even though I outplayed him strategically I still lost.

Vision U 112
Quicksilver V 28
Elektra U 36
Captain America E 47
Bullseye E 31
Vulture R 15
Medic E 15
Medic V 16

All of these figures are from the IC set.

This will give you three to four attack forces to outflank your opponent with. And you'll be hurting a bit without Outwit, Perplex or Probability, but if you play smart then it shouldn't be too much of a hinderance.

Yes, you can use any figures from any set available. You can even use DC & Marvel together.

The only times that you are unable to do this is if they want to play a Marvel(or DC) only game.

Plus any Promotional figures are typically not allowed. These are identified by the word "Promotional" or "Promo" on the base.
