hi
if i have a Vet magneto, in a 400 point game, with 4 adjacent shield team characters, magneto has a damage value of 4, in a successful ranged attack will he deliver 8 clicks of damage? his 4 plus 1 for each of the 4 shield team characters (assuming leadership roll was a success, therefore 5 actions are available, 1 for the attack, and 1 each for the extra damage), so if my attack is a success i could ko just about any charcter in one go?
thanks for any help
Joe
Correct. You have to declare that you are using the SHIELD boosts before rolling hte attack, though. That will take up your entire turn, whether you hit or not. You can't just activate the SHIELD ability after you hit.

Yup but if you miss oh well and no more moves. but that is a deadly attack if he hits.

hey, thanks for that, i'm pretty new to the game and only get to play occasionally, yeah it'll take up my entire go, but it might make all the difference in the game,
although i think i've seen another flaw in my hope of delivering 8 clicks of damage. if i use outwit to turn off toughness on fixit, then hit him with an 8 click damage, after 3 clicks he'll change to invulneribiltiy, so then do i take 2 off the 5 remaining clicks, and only land 6 out of 8 clickc damage?
thanks in advance for the help

The damage is all resolved at once. Even though invulnerability would not be outwitted, you would click all eight clicks because the damage is applied to the click you hit the figure on. Does that make sense. Once the attack was resolved you then look at the figs dial and if he has a different ability than the one you outwitted he keeps that ability.
A more interesting question is that if you outwit toughness and do enough damage to blow him by his invulnerability clicks back to toughness would the figure have toughness or not?

on his next turn i guess, but my main concern was to try for 8 on fixit, only land six and he'd be on his regeneration, and could maybe put 4 clicks right back on
anyway, its all clear now, if i hit him with 8 while outwitting his toughness the big grey lump is outta there.
thanks
