I was playing Heroclix the one day and I looked at my selection and realized that U HT Batman and R IC Hulk both cost the same amount of points. This got me thinking. Just because they are Heroclix equals doesn’t translate back translate back to comics. I think most of us would agree that Hulk could beat Batman in a fight.

That is the idea for this tournament. Every entry will be close to the same amount of points Heroclix wise, but this will be their comic forms fighting!

Rules:
This will be a standard single elimination tournament with 32 combatants. There will be 2 to a fight. They get no knowledge of each other (unless they have fought in the past). The only thing they get is the Heroclix figure of there enemies and their character cards (if the figure does not have a card, assume there was a custom one made). They will have 5 minutes to prepare. This is a fight to the death or KO, whichever happens first, and they must fight (no waiting for the opponent to die of starvation). They have with them what they normally carry and what there fig has if it is different. (Like how Bullseye doesn’t carry a gun, but he has one on the fig).

Superman (Kingdom Come) - 238 (Crisis)

vs.

Thor - 226 (Hammer of Thor)

Terrain:
Mountain: A rocky mountain side, this terrain is not very soft or forgiving. A mix of steep cliff sides and gradual inclines.

Sueperman (One Million) vs. Doom: TIED (4-4)

Regular Superman vs. Thor is a close match that goes either way. KC Superman is far enough past regular Superman that I'd have to say things tip in his favor here.

KC Superman to advance.

I vote for Thor. At the time this Thor was made Thor had not lost the Odin power or the power of the Runes. That's a massively heavily magic using Thor who could curb stomp the entire KC clix roster.

This is, however, Thor from right after Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: The Reigning.

A Thor, who in one move obliterated the 9 realms plus an entire pantheon who fed on the Norse Gods.

A Thor who can can control global weather patterns with a wave of his hand. A Thor who can unmake the Destroyer, and a being supposedly immune to godly energies. A Thor Surtur wouldn't even try to fight because Surtur knew it was completely useless.

Eh, I dont really see anything on the figure to say that this represents Odin-Thor, besides doesnt this same set actually have a Thor The Reigning figure, which actually has Odinsleep as its power? (meaning if any Thor HC is going to represent that time in his career, it would be that one).

So unless Im overruled by Magnito, Im taking this as regular Thor, who to me will definately lose to KC Superman here. Regular Superman would be closer, but Id still give Kal my vote, KC Kal makes this a bit easier to decide (again, unless Mags rules this is Odin Thor).

Experienced Thor, not the Vet. Thus, it is not the most recent Thor that we are using.

It's gonna be a heck of a fight, but seeing as it's KC Superman, I'm giving him the edge in the end.

Which is Thor from the Reigning storyline, prior to Thor: Ragnarok, and the current Thor series. The powers on the card explicitly point this out (Mjolnir returned). While he was Lord of Asgard Thor did not possess Mjolnir. Magni found it burried and challened Thor to hold it, which Thor does right before he pwns a Desak powered Destroyer.

He's also cheaper, weaker, and overall less powerful then this Thor which would be the case vs a Thor from Ragnarok/relaunch.
