forgive me if this is a stupid question. i have hundred's of figures and lots of unique's, but no LE's, and i can't figure out where everyone is getting them. i'm assuming maybe winning local tourney's, i don't know. i'm hesistent to play in tournaments, even though i assume i'm playing by all the right rules, i don't wanna be playing some little kid and he tells me i'm wrong. lol

Hey Deadpool,
Tournaments can be a double edged sword:
- if you have the cool people, that play in a friendly spirit - although also to win - tournaments are a great place to learn
-they can be a drag if the people that play at your venue are too competetive, not there to have fun etc.
As for a kid telling you you did something wrong? So what? I'm 35, and have learned something from everyone i've ever played. If you make a mistake? Correct your behavior, and don't do it again!
Around here there is a venue that does head to head tourneys where it does not cost anything to play. You have nothing to lose in this type of place.
That's what Judges are there for. Don't be afraid to go to tournaments because you are worried about not knowing the rules for sure. Read the rulebook, read the FAQ, and you are already a step ahead of most players... :)
You're already making the effort by coming online to learn, so go play in tournaments. You can learn a ton there too :)
And, it's either that or spend mad cash on eBay for LEs...

Winning tournaments seem to be the best way to get them. I have four. One Johnny Storm for winning the marquee tournament. One Superman special mail order offer. One LE Blade, I traded the second LE superman for, and a Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) I brought a comic book store.
But I have a friend who has gotten the LEs of Harliquin, Jean Grey, and the Mad Hatter by winning the Runner-up, Champion, and Fellowship prizes respectively in tournaments.

After four or five tournaments, I guarantee that you will know the rules well enough to be a judge.
Yeah, you'll get called on the rules every so often. "Um, you can't do that. It says so right here." Soon enough, you'll be doing the same thing.
It helps everyone.
Ahh, the trick isn't knowing the rules, it's being able to recall the information quickly :)
And learning how to deal with.... nuisances... :)

are there time limits per turn?? i like to think my moves over, i'm not slow but i'm not fast either, i consider myself pretty good at clix, me and two friends trade wins often. i don't even know where to play any tourney's in delaware county, PA.
Go to the WK website, and you can do searches for events within up to 100 miles from you...
Been a long time since I lived in PA, but if you're near Philly, you'll get to meet the illustrious azs :)
