*War of Light:
700pts Unrestricted
Every team must include at least one character with one of the Lantern Corps as a keyword (also acceptable is anyone with the GL Corps TA or named Green Lantern, Star Sapphire, Black Hand, or Doctor Spectrum). Only one such character is required.
No theme bonuses.
At the start of every round, two of the special lantern objects are placed four squares from the center of the map (one on each player's side). For the first round objects will be doled out randomly; for the second and third rounds players get to pick the lantern for their side with players with the lowest points getting to pick first.
The lanterns cannot be destroyed and can only be picked up or TKed by figures with the corresponding lantern corps keyword (Star Sapphire from Crisis is considered to have the Star Sapphire keyword for this purpose). Super Strength is not required for picking up the lanterns and they can be dropped in an adjacent square at any point while moving.
Additional lanterns included by the players in their build follow the normal (or in this case, new) object rules.
=============================================
BTW, any team that is not keyworded, but IS comic-accurate, will still get the theme bonus. The same goes for any "silly" themed teams (like a team of characters who all have wings, who all have ice-based powers, who are based upon literary characters, who were all drawn by Steve Ditko, or what have you.)

Astute observers may note that we should be playing on the 8th and the 22nd, but I'll be out of town on the 8th.
So there you go.

I'm going to say a tentative "yes".

Addendum and Clarification to the War of Light scenario:
When someone with a lantern corps keyword is carrying a lantern of the corresponding color then their powers cannot be countered.
Furthermore the lanterns act like normal light objects for purposes of throwing and close-combat attacks (except they don't get destroyed).

Ironically, I'm the one that asked about it, and then promptly made a team featuring no colossals whatsoever.

Hmm, I had not heard this. heroclix.com still lists the release date as 5/12 and I've heard of several people who have already gotten it. Lets keep things as they are and if it turns out that people aren't able to get starter sets then we'll just run it as 700pt unrestricted event.

Personally, I always prefer comic accurate games, but I try to avoid draconically imposing that preference on others. The two Crisis Robins have different numbers so you could play one of each.

CURSES!!!
We'll do the War of Light scenario next month.
For the next few days I'll leave the floor open for replacement scenario suggestions.

How about all female teams to honor the date:
May 15, 1869 – Woman's suffrage: in New York, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton form the National Woman's Suffrage Association.
-OR-
Teams where all figures are somehow related by family tree in one way or another in honor of National Family Day, also on May 15th.
Just some thoughts.
or my fav build a comic book accorate team and bring in the book and they will get the team team bonus

How bout something like 700pts JLA vs Avengers or JLA/Avengers where either you make an avengers or JLA team or you make a team that half the characters are JLA and half the Characters are Avengers? also no theme bonuses for this scenerio

I agree with Fox007 it should be to make two seperate 700-point teams one JLA one Avengers (keyword not neccessary, so long as the character was once a Memeber) and whoever wins the dice roll on the first game picks which one of their two teams they want to use and their opponent uses whichever side the winner didn't pick, for the other two games the player with the lowest points should get to pick which team they want to use. NO THEME BONUSES!!!

hmmm....some good suggestions...
I do like the idea of commemorating historical events so some suffragette action does appeal to me.
I also like the JLA/Avengers idea, although I'd probably run it as not specifically JLA and Avengers and instead go with the scenario idea I posted on Facebook awhile back:
Scenario Idea: Cross-Universe Team-Up
You must have an even number of characters, half of your characters must share a non-generic keyword and the other half must share a different non-generic keyword. The two halves of your team must come from different "universes" (DC/Marvel/Indy).
I was also going with the no theme bonus thing.
I'll make a finally decision, one way or the other, by the start of next week.
While we're at it, I think that I'll use next week as a test for a tournament format that I've been thinking about, something that sort of blends the new "Golden Age' and "Modern Age" formats. This new format would basically be identical to unrestricted/Golden Age tournaments except that feat cards could not be assigned to any character that has either a trait or a special power. (Bearing in mind that alternate team abilities no longer count as feats.)
or my fav build a comic book accorate team and bring in the book and they will get the team team bonus
I am a fan of this one too (I recall bringing in a Justice League issue from the 1960s when I played in one of these), but I also realize that not all players really collect comics or might not be das uber geek when it comes to knowing what is comic accurate and I don't want to alienate those players. However, unless a scenario prohibits it, I will always give theme bonuses to comic-accurate teams. After all, that's what keywords are supposed to encourage, but they're not perfect.

just as well, the guy I was gonna use for my 700-point avengers team won't be showing up till next week, however I do think at some point we need to do the JLA vs. Avengers scenario I think it would be a lot of fun, seeing as there are so many figs to choose from when making one of those teams. This week we should either do the half and half scenerio or the past/future scenerio you mentioned awhile ago :)

Well, it turns out that I need to be in Akron by 5 on Saturday so we'll do something short and uncomplicated.
May 15th 10:30am
Super Suffragettes!!!
Every figure on your team must be identifiably female. (Checkmate pawns are allowed because their promoted versions are clearly female.)
400 pts
Figures that have at least one trait or special power cannot be assigned feats. Theme teams and Battle Field Conditions still function like normal.
LE Diana Prince if the prize.

Thanks for the great turnout, everyone. BTW, a few items got left behind; namely a Red Lantern ring and a white cardboard box filled with feats and BFCs.
I've got them with my stuff.

thought of a cool scenerio we should try some time
*Dynamic Duos*
All figs used must be either duo-figs or single-figs or two seperate figures that have teamed up as a duo in a comic book ex. Cap and Bucky or power man/iron fist, or Captain America + Bucky, Power Man + Iron Fist etc. have something like if the two seperate figs are adjacent and are each given a close or ranged combat action, only place an action token on the fig with a higher point cost ex. Powerman and Iron fist are next to each other, both attack a target, just Power Man is given an action token

I posted something similar on the Facebook group, but instead of an action token benefit there was a defense boost.
Scenario Idea: Team-up Time!
Every figure on your team must have a partner, someone who they might normally team-up with, as another figure on your team. (ex. Spider-Man & Daredevil, Green Arrow & Black Canary, Wolverine & Shadowcat, etc.) Partners get +1 Defense when adjacent to one another. Duos are their own best friend and count as a partner pairing. (i.e. Duo figures on your team don't require the presence of another figure to be their partner and unless the duo ability gets Outwitted have a +1 Defense.)
