Looks fantastic and the powers sound terrific, a great mix that isn't as obvious and straightforward as some figures.

Very, very happy with what they're doing with Beat and can't wait to pull him.

That being said, I think this Hank looks great and from the sounds of it, he can be fielded as a nice B2B fighter. For 80 pts and a possible 4 damage? We'll see how is AV turns out to be. I see some TK in the future!

Im so happy with the Beast. A fan favorite with a great sculpt and what sounds like very playable abilities. I'm really glad his exp version is a Defender too.

He sounds like the type of figure you wouldn't mind charging into battle with, since he gains support later on in his dial. A great deal with the X-men team ability too, since it gives you a bit of controll on what click he is on.

after (in my opinion) the dissapointment of Phoenix, I'm glad to see they nailed Beast. Great sculpt, great powers, they nailed him. And support on the vet version? that's icing on the cake. I really want one...I cannot wait till the end of March.

I'm also glad that they haven't ruined the surprise of yet another unique. These are the guys you want to open up the first time and be like, Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, this one looks great. Perplex will be KILLER for the X-Men. The one weakness of Nightcrawler on an all X-Men team was that you couldn't punch through Invulnerability. Well, now you can.

Yeah, in 300+ point games I find doom+nightcrawler KILLER so it'll be good to have another Xman to perplex with (Another benefit to doom was taking the hit from nightcrawler if he took one).

though I wouldn't have minded him a bit cheaper and without the support (which as I recall Jon wasn't a fan off in the first place !)

wow, great sculpt and great mix of powers! everything I thought he should have really...toughness, charge (to show him boudning around), perplex, and later, support....sounds great to me! and 80 pts doesn't sound too bad for one of the foudning members of the xmen! can't wait to pull him!

That is my only problem with this set so far.

I like the figure a lot, let's get that out of the way.

My main point is one of gratitude for HCRealms. Its just cool that you get some exclusives here. Not all my HC buddies frequent this site (??) despite my best efforts and they don't know what they're missing!

I like the sound of his stats and I'm very glad we got another Defender! you can almost make a semi-decent Defenders team now! Once we get two or three more Defenders then we'll have enough choices to make a well rounded team.

The LE will amost certianly be Avengers... if not Avengers it'll be Spidey Team. Since they did do the Exp. as Defenders I'm guessing they'll go with Avengers. That'll have me clamoring to get his LE.

I think that alot of people are getting wrapped up in this Avenger Defender team thing. I'm g;ad that beast is a defender, someone needs to be. Everyone and thier mother is or has been an avenger at some time. I think that I might have been an Avenger for a short time..........

Thats right Marvel has 2-3x the LE's per set that DC does. Beast is a low enough number. There (in the set) you will see the E Beast tweeked into Avengers form or the R Beast's stats with a click of Perplex or Outwit (it depends on how week the R Beast is i.e. do they go back to the biggining). Nightcrawler 83 + Beast 80 = half your team.. + rogue in the 80s + ? 78 point cyclops? 50 point Jean grey?

At least he'll keep perplex for a long time with that xmen team ability

I personally don't care that Beast doesn't have a Avengers team ability. If the Avengers were short on characters then I might but come on, they have plenty. Defenders is a good choice, I bet that Iceman's experienced version (when and if they finally make him) will also be Defenders. What other team needs team members more? I know it was a tough call Jon, but I think you made the right decision.

Beast Sounds great, perplex with charge and a high damage wow. They gave him a lot of possabilities. I ould like to know why they didn't give him super strength he may not be as strong as hulk or juggernaut but he can pick things up none the less.

I think they didn't give him superstrength because they gave him three damage in his exp and vet...admittedly for a very short time...1 or 2 clix...

And while he may be able to pick up things, he ain't a heavy hitter capable of putting the hurt on the big dogd like Thor, Supes, Hulk, etc...
