Custom Masters of the Universe figures

Hello fellow clixers!

Sorry for any misuse of the English language, it is not my native tongue.

Last year I started building a 30 figures Masters of the Universe set for Heroclix. 10 figures are now ready for action, more to follow.

Dial design demanded to choose a MotU "era", because the MotU characters experienced dramatic changes in power and behaviour between all those MotU series, books, comics, films, etc. My dial design was mainly influenced by the original mini comics and to some degree by the 80th cartoon series, because these were my childhood favorites. The 200X series had not so much influence. Feel free to prefer other versions.

I hate the site you're hosting those pics on. Realms User albums are a much better option.

Having said that, my God these are a thing of beauty. A friend of mine has a Skeletor that was incredibly well done, but to have made all of these is really quite brilliant.

Those dials should become the standard for all MOTU dials in the future. I wish you could mass produce these because I would buy a thirty figure set from you in a heartbeat.

Each member can only post 50 pictures and a total of 1MB on Realms User albums :( . I have added the Heroic Warriors to the albums but I have not enough space left for the Evil Warriors :( :( .

Those are all wonderful to look at. The He-Man license is a natural fit for the Heroclix game and all of those sculpts have a lot of skill, time, love, and thought poured into them.

Love that He-Man set... my only critique is that it looks like you're either using a gloss coat or oil paints (a bit shiny). Other than that they are clean, creative mods that I would love to see on the table in front of me!

Neither nor. The figures appear a bit shiny because of the light I use when taking the pictures. I am still experimenting there... :confused: . In reality they don't shine and I am rather unhappy about the results of my camera :disappointed: .

Of course, hearing that makes me REALLY want to see these mods in person now. Great work!

I'm not sure if it will help or not (it may just be the camera), but there is a photography thread stickied in the artisans guild titled Photography 101 that has a lot of useful tips.

Evil-Lyn and Moss-Man are both powerhouses in the 200X series, but the old 80s series and mini comics are the basis from which I design my figures. These older versions of Evil-Lyn and Moss-Man were considerably weaker.

From a gamers viewpoint I consider Evil-Lyn my best piece so far. I’ve played against her last week and she has a VERY annoying power mix.

I like these mods very nice painting and detail work. I am impressed. I would have liked to see them on regular legal dials though.but nice work.
