View Full Version : Fine ! I'll make my own Alpha Flight
Well, it looks like we won't see Alpha Flight for a while so I thought I would make some for myself. I am Canadian and ever since being sucked into Heroclix I wanted them. I thought I would share them with you. Sasquatch isn't quite finished yet. He's taking forever with all his layers and I wanted to take the pictures.

I like how you used one of those SuperFigs to make Iceman.
All in all, nice work.
Yeah, the Iceman and Marina are lead Fig's I just saw on the wall while I was at the local shop playing.

Alpha Flight is pretty cool, and your mods and repaints are even cooler.

The Comic Shop? That's the only place in Vancouver where I've seen SuperFigs, but I haven't been over in a few months.
Yeah, didn't recognize the Marina original; that's the Spine-Strike (Brawler) figure. The Emerald Alien (Blaster) figure you used for Iceman is a great base for a lot of conversions. I was thinking of using him to do Martinex (of the Guardians of the Galaxy).
Actually I guess it's not in Vancouver, it's in Richmond. There is a place called Imperial Hobbies. We play all day on Saturdays. (10:30 until 6:00 anyway) The Heroclix crowd is great. Young and old and lots in between. On any given weekend about 10-15 players show up and that's just to play, they don't really have tournaments except on the marquee weekends. It makes for a really great atmosphere.
Anyhow, they have a wall of lead figs there about 100 feet long and over 7 feet high. It is pretty much all lead figs. I’m really not exaggerating…I still don’t think I have looked at them all. It’s a great store. (no, I don’t own or have any financial interest in the store)

Great work! Hopefully we'll get some of the crazy Canucks in the next expansion.

I know Imperial Hobbies; I go there about twice a year for their big sales.
I didn't know that they had space to game other than that one tiny room with room for maybe three people. Cool to know that they do now.
Hey, the big sale your talking about is this weekend...tomorrow actually. (Seriously, no connection to the store financially)
Yeah, the room in the back looks small but we usually have two games going there and it’s comfortable. There is a good table space in the middle of the store where we get another two games going and if needed Dave makes space near the front for one more map to get a game going on. On a lot of weekends the manager (Dave) buys like 5 or 6 pizzas for everyone to share out of his own pocket. I think one of the regular players works for a pizza place so he gets a bit of a deal for Dave…but still. Like I said, it’s a pretty cool place to play.

They look great, but where is my favorite Alpha Flight character, Box?
um, not to be insulting or anything, but what's with marrina's hair? it's all... up. normally (correct me if it has been that way recently) marrina's hair is rounded with her head. otherwise, great, great mods. (mainly rhino, silver surfer, angel, green goblin, mysterio [put him in the contest! you could walk away with a free mad hatter!], and sasquatch!)
yea i play at Imperial Hobbies every saturday too.altough me and william cant this week because we got cadets
