Kid Zoom and Black Flash interaction

Hello !
I want to set that straight :

Black Flash SP :
Death come swiftly : Balck Flash can use Poison. When Poison is used, adjacent opposing characters that can use Hypersonic Speed are dealt 2 damage
Kid Zoom SP :
Stop! (non-optional) Other characters can't use Hypersonic Speed

So, if one Kid Zoom is in play, since no one else can use HSS, the only character that may be dealt 2 damage via Black Flash is Kid Zoom himself, right ?

I would think that anyone who has HSS showing on their dial would still be dealt the damage, regardless of Kid Zoom's 'Stop!' power. I defer to the Men in Orange, though.

I don't think that is how it works. The characters would still posess HSS, but zooms power just makes it so they can't use it. It would be as if I tied your hands behind your back and told you that you couldn't use them in a fight. You would still have your arms, but would be incapable of using them.

Neither power deals with possession of Hypersonic Speed. They both deal with characters who can use Hypersonic Speed.

Black Flash deals 2 damage with Poison against characters who can use Hypersonic Speed.
Kid Zoom says other characters can't use Hypersonic Speed.

Kid Zoom can use Hypersonic Speed. Black Flash deals 2 damage to him using Poison.
Max Mercury possesses Hypersonic Speed, but he can't use it. Black Flash only deals 1 damage to him with Poison.

Black Flash's SP does say "can use HS", not possess.
So I say if Kid Zoom is in play, no one can USE HS, then he is the only one who will be poisoned twice.
Everyone else gets one damage
I just don't see Black Flash catching him to deal poison damage to him.
Knock Kid Zoom off the SP click, and you have another story.

I'd say 1 for all other HSSers. Black flash powers says "can use" and Zoom says they "can't use" therefore they are immune.

Black Flash has Quintessence, so he'll either catch Kid Zoom or force him to push, which is nearly as good.

With the phasing on black flash there is nowhere for kid zoom to run to either. For any of the speedsters to run to for that matter. It's awesome!

I'll chase down speedsters with Black Flash while yelling, "RUN, #####, RUN!"

All you gotta do is perplex up BF's speed by 3 with Max Murcury and base Kid Zoom. Force Kid Zoom to move out into the open and blast the snot out of him. Then evryone with HSS can be delat the 2 damage!

I had a similar question about canceling HSS, since it is canceled i can no longer use it, so i should not take 2.
It was ruled that since even if i cancel the power i would still be able to use feats I would still take the 2 damage.
This would be the same thing.

I know that my Flash can still use Damage Shield when adjacent to Kid Zoom, becasue even though I can't use the power, I still possess it; but I was always under the impression that if someone was canceled it was as if it was removed from the dial.

That's countering, not cancelling.

Cancelling HSS will not provide an easy out from Black Flash's poison.
