I have a couple questions regarding the new lantern objects. If during the game, somebody destroys the object, do they get victory points for it? Also, could i, the player who placed the object, destroy it and claim victory points for myself?

The Object is part of your force.
So the opposing player will get the points for the object.
You would not get points for the object for destroying it, your opponent would.

What about Bat&Cat's "I already stole the real one" power? Do you get victory points if you take the object off the board and replace it?

The object is removed, so points are scored.

since its part of your force, can you destroy your own object??

Sure, just like you can push to KO your own characters... and then your opponent gets the points.

alright cool, just curious cuz i know you cant target your own character with an attack, (except pulsewave) just wanted to double check.

My question is do the effects of the object still apply when someone is carrying the object. Also, when it says continuous... what does that mean?

the first part you said is what continuous means
objects that have effects and do not have continuous stop working when picked up.

The Black lantern has been played by several opponents against me, and It has ended up helping me more than them lol. I won't blow it up. Better that they pay for it and I reap the benefits lol

How do I destroy an object that someone is carrying...or can I even do that?

let them hit you over the head with it.
Other than that only SP that say they can target objects that are being held.

Well, at least I'd get points for it!

Phantom girl can destroy any object, including one being carried. I've found her extremely useful for getting rid of that #*(%&$(*% dumpster that so many locals are fond of. Shame I can't do the same with Mjolner.

Molecule Man and Phantom Girl both can with SP.

Then there is always the Disintegrate feat.

And don't forget Energizer!
MATTER ABSORBTION: Once per turn as a free action, Energizer can remove from the game a single adjacent object (including an object carried by an adjacent character) or up to 2 barrier, debris, or hindering terrain markers that are 4 or fewer squares away from her and to which she has a clear line of fire at the time they are removed.
