Psycho-Man 151
Lyssa Drak 72
Batman 64
Chief 63
Scarlet Witch 35
Jimmy Woo 10
Violet Lantern 5
400 total
TK, PC, double Barrier, double Outwit, Leadership, Support, double Perplex, Outsiders TA...this team has a little bit of everything and a lot of a couple things.
I'm a mind control nut, and who better to utilize the power of the Violet Lantern than a triple target MC'er who doesn't take feedback damage?
This squad can completely utilize your opponent's own figs against them, and I can't wait to give it a tourney whirl.
Any feedback or suggestions welcome, thanks!

The biggest problem I see is Stealth. The only non-essential characters are Batman and Jimmy Woo. As such, if it was me, I might drop them for the Clark Kent LE, who can hide behind a Barrier or Psycho-Man and pull people out of stealth. Also he'll take care of that pesky ES/D for you as well. With the 50 or so points left over I would probably add in another good secondary attacker like Spider-Man, or maybe Molly Hayes.
Cheers,

The idea behind Batman was he can carry Psycho AND the Lantern. With the multiple perplex (plus Batman's that he can only use on himself), so far in testing almost all of them are viable attackers. A cheap flyer with SS did not seem ample in the units section... With that strategy in mind, do you think it's not worth it? I'll certainly test your suggestions and see what fits the squad better.

It sure looks like it would be a lot of fun to play with and against. I love Psycho-Man and when you can ignore feedback damage from Mind Control, that's just a ton of fun. The one problem I can see is that they may have troubles going up against a stealth team. It seems pretty heavily reliant upon range so maybe try to bring in a bit more close combat readiness into the build?

Hmm... I see. Well I thought the idea was more of TK out Psycho-Man, and likewise TK the object when needed. Batman is certainly a good taxi. Actually he's good at most things. What is more valuable? I'm not sure. In this area I feel at least 1/3 of the teams in a given tourney are based on Stealth. As such I would be too worried that Psycho-Man wouldn't get to MC a single time in certain games. Your strategy seems to be different than I imagined and you are going to know your local meta a lot better than I am. Also you have to keep in mind my obsession with Superman, so anytime I can suggest one for a team I do :)

I guess I was hoping to use their close combat pieces against them! Though I love Chief, would dropping him and Jimmy Woo for some stealth-busting seem worth it? I could run Captain America or maybe Dawnstar + Amadeus Cho.

Yeah, opening turns would be preferably, perplex up Psycho once or twice, TK him out with Lyssa, have Bats fly up with the Lantern and start controlling some MINDS!
But you guys are probably right. I'm thinking Dawnstar + Amadeus Cho is a setup worth testing, as is Cap from Hammer of Thor in place of Chief + Jimmy.

I think those substitutions seem like feasible options. I guess it really depends on your play-style. A more aggressive approach would probably call for the Dawnstar or Captain approach while the more reserved strategy could use Chief.

I'm typically a more defensive player...let's just say I was a HUGE alt FF guy back in the day.
The store I started playing at seems to be more of a tentpole format.
Given that your venue is more tentpole-oriented, I might consider saving yourself 10 points and swapping out Psycho-Man for Enchantress. She's already got a longer range, and her Perplex gives her the same attack value to start. You lose a target, but she'll likely not incur any feedback damage for controlling your opponent's big fig.
Just an idea though. I'd consider playing Psycho-Man over Enchantress just to say I did it.

I do like Enchantress as well, but I'm trying to do something competitive around Psycho. He's very versatile, and I think I can make him work.

What about swapping out Chief and Jimmy Woo for Iron Fist? That'll give you a good close combat figure that can tie up their tent pole as well as do some damage in the process.

Good call, I'll try him out as well.

Oh yeah, you could also try out Gamora, though she doesn't seem to last quite as long as Iron Fist, but she seems more interesting.

I like the wildcard ability on Iron Fist over Gamora.

Black Widow if you have the new one is good.
