Happy to see the site is still being updated. :) Thanks for a great tool.

First, I just want to thank you for making this. It is great and I have used it to make over a dozen figures already. I read on the site where you asked us to contact you about any suggestions/questions that we might have. Don't worry, I have just a couple.

1. Is there anyway that you can fix it so that special powers are shown on the dial? So far they have not been visible on mine.

2. Is there any way that you can add Sharpshooter, Duo, Indomitable or Giant/Colossal to the attack, defense, or damage abilities in the same way that you have flight/dolphin/transporter added to the movement ability?

Btw, thanks again. I am not sure if you are aware of this but this is the only site that is on the internet that is capable of making it so that a dial can be created and printed. You have done a great job and I appreciate all the work you have done.

I've been looking for the print work-around but couldn't find it in all these posts. Is there any way to update the first post? Thanks!

Print work-around? If you are trying to print the dial to the proper size, then just adjust your scale setting to 19%. If that's not what you mean, then you'll have to be more specific.

A round of major updates is completed. Fully printable card view is complete with nameable powers, special power descriptions, traits and keywords. Also supports all movement, attack, defense and damage types (transporters, duo, indomitable, etc.)

I have also updated the HCRealms code to output the special power descriptions and traits.

I have also added to the teams list most of the teams that have cards with custom card graphics and some additional team abilities which also includes a few customizable teams. (Omega and Delta)

I would love some feedback on these changes. You can send me a PM, update this thread or send mail to urlmaker@aol.com. Please also send if you run into any bugs or problems. Also, I am open to additional changes. (keeping in mind that I know people would want dial top printing) :)

Thanks!

Nice updates. Glad to see you're still updating the site. :D I haven't played around with it too much yet, but it seems that it doesn't properly update the card when you move things from the front to the back. On my test dial, One of the powers moved but the rest didn't save the change. I noticed that some keywords aren't listed yet, but that may still be a work in progress.

Cosmetically, (this is just me being picky so feel free to disregard) the cards feel really blank, especially the name area. The green starting line on the sticker could be a little thicker, and the font seems off, though I don't have a better suggestion, comic sans would work well for the KO's but not the numbers and I don't know if it can be divided like that. I'm sure someone that has made template on here would know what fonts work best.

Overall though it looks good and it's great to see the sight keeping up with the game. This will make custom dial creation much more convenient again. Thank you.

I'll post if I find anything else.

I know about this. There is a reason, I may allow it later but I want to see how it is being used. It will only move a stat to the back card if it has been named, for instance if you leave it as "Charge" with no updated description like "CLOSE THE GAP (Charge)". The reason for this is that it creates a record for the power description and that record tells it back or front. So no description, no back or front. Like I said, I may change this if it comes up a lot.

Please let me know which or point me to a list. I found one on the internet and typed them in from that.

Good feedback, I will consider putting some texture on the card back. I just can't put it everywhere because of the power icons having a white background, unless I .gif an transparent the background of those which is a major pain. (Like the Team Abilities)

I will take a look, that should be a simple fix.

Hmmm... not sure, I will take a look, but I may not change the font as it is a pain to get everything to fit on that teeny tiny little dial and font throws off alignment.

Thanks for the comments, I hope to keep it updated, at least up to date with new HC features.

Check out the link for this after the description, this for a clever way to mix genre a bit and borrow a convention from HorrorClix.

Tallahassee LE
Range: 8 :bolt::bolt:
Team: Zombieland Survivor Points: 95

61016369163691525814258142KOKOKOKO481524714146131 KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
:star: ZOMBIELAND RULES If Tallahassee is KO'd, turn the dial to the red line and flip this card. Tallahassee has the Zombie keyword, a range of 0 and a value of 25. Give the card to the opposing player.
:a-fist: NUT UP OR SHUT UP If Tallahassee hits a target while using Running Shot, you may give Tallahassee a move action as a free action.
:g-starburst: MY MOMMA ALWAYS SAID I WOULD BE GOOD AT SOMETHING Every time Tallahassee makes an attack that deals damage, give Tallahassee an attack action as a free action.

You want the keyword index by Harpua. Truthfully though it may be easier to simply let people type them manually. I assume some people doing custom dials would want to make up their own anyway.

Yeah having done a good deal of graphics work myself, I have to agree, doing all of those would be a pain, even if your just adjusted the colors of completed ones by adjusting the hue it would still be a tedious task because of indomitable, duo, sharpshooter, flyer, transporter....so on... and so on...

All aside though thank you. Many of the great online heroclix resources have either disappeared, are on hiatus, or are no longer supported. The PDF "Cheatsheets" are no longer being made, myheroclix.com is gone so there went a great teambuilder/collection tracker, and Heroclix online is no longer supported its creator who simply vanished. (Though I suspect he may have been asked by WK, could be wrong.)

You are right on both counts, I have fixed the first issue with unnamed powers now able to be moved to the back of the card. It was sort of bugging me too.

The second issue I have to think about, but will make an update for, I will probably allow the users to add, but not to the master list as that list would get too large. So you will either pick from the list or add your own keyword. Still need to work out the interface on that...

As for graphics, I think I might add a few print themes for the card print view. I will have to think about it, but will have some options soon.

Thanks again for your input, it really helps to have people to provide feedback.

I have completed the ADD keyword. If you add a new keyword to a dial, it will show up from then on in your master dropdown of keywords. Important note to modders, only add one keyword at a time.

Second I added some style options to the print card page. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any new ideas.

I have also slightly widened the green line.

Thanks!

Really like the last theme you added, very accurate.

I have a cool idea, but I'm not sure how hard it would be, would it be possible to make it so users can scale the card image (background, name, borders, and TA) without scaling the power icons or text? It would help for characters with wordy SP's or lots of powers. I can scale the whole card by holding ctrl and rolling the wheel on my mouse, but just thought this was an idea people might find useful.

The green line is better now, thanks. :) Also really like the whole horrorclix and AE thing you've implemented.

I have some unfinished code in there to set the text point size for each power, but I was thinking it was overkill. I may implement later, the DB is already set up for it.

AE isn't quite set up as AE should be an uninterrupted set of stats. I will probably make an AE dial pretty soon though.

So any of the HCRealms folks still using this site? Still getting over 100 dials per week, but curious if anyone here is making dials.

Just "rediscovered" your creation (hadn't seen it since way before character cards were added) and I have to say, it's awesome! :) Can't wait to print some stuff out.

It only took 8 years, but I now have browser native printing (no image software required) for Internet Explorer and also Dial Top printing!

Just use your browsers print button or Cntl+P. I would recommend after hitting print, go to advanced settings and set your quality to "Best", it usually defaults to "Normal".

Firefox does NOT print the dial inline (with browser print button) because of some kind of firefox/flash printing bug.

I have had another user report as much, and I have included an advanced setting for a double size dial. Maybe you could try printing that version at 50%. I think the higher resolution original might help. (worth a shot) The original size dial works great on my printer, but I have a setting for printing at an even higher DPI.

I don't know if I've posted in here before, but I had to say thank you for continually updating the site. I still visit every now to make a dial or three.

I just have a few nitpicks:

- Dual team abilities, because they're becoming more and more common.
-Easier way to update keywords. As it is, I can only do one (or two if its a new keyword) at a time.
-Possibility to incorporate different starting lines for alter egos or the half dials we're starting to see with Superman figures.

Regardless, I love the site, and I can't thank you enough for the countless hours that have gone into maintaining it.

Dual teams, I want to do it, I spent a bunch of time doing the dial top updates and just have to get back around to it.

Keywords, good news. Your doing it wrong. :cheeky: You can add them one at a time. Hit update, add another, hit update, add another. All day if you want. Of course you will run out of space on your card, but there isn't a limit to the number of keywords.

Starting lines. Well, you can do this too. I had added some functions for horror clix a while back, you can re-purpose this functionality. Try adding 99 to the speed, attack, defense and damage stats of the click that you want to 'split' the dial at. This will add a set of KO's with a red line. Only add one 'click' worth of these. It won't really break it, but it bothers my soul. :(

You can also use 88 in any stat for the hour-glass 'autoclick' mechanic from horror clix.
