What are some examples of good 200pt lists with the basic guys (only have one Unique - Juggernaut). And I only have R - Firelord. Please give me some ideas. I like using teams but was not impressed with XMen since it takes actions to move damage.

there's a faily basic 200 point team for ya.

even though I know you don't have the U Elektra, just find another cheap good close fighter.

How about this since I don't have all the figs?

E Doombot
E Hydra Medic
E Blade
E Vulture
V Black Panther
R Bullseye
R Scarlet Witch

The problem with your team is that Blade has Battle Fury and can't be taxiied, so I would use another B/C/F figure. Rookie Bullseye only has an 8" range as opposed to the 10" range of the Exp. & Vet. Also, actions could be a problem, you only have one free moving taxi (Doombot copying Brotherhood ability) and no leadership. I would try for two free moving taxis (Doombots with Brotherhood/Avengers ability to copy or Wasp Avengers) and two attackers to be carried, one RCE guy and one B/C/F fig. Bullseye (E) & Elektra (U) are perfect for this and cheap to boot. If you don't have them, make do-- Bullseye (R) is okay, but you lose 2 squares of range, 1 point of attack value and Energy Shield; Elektra (V) is okay, she's only 2 points cheaper but loses 2 points on attack value.

Another strategy would be to take a Mandroid Armor (R) and a Super Strength figure. The SS figure can pick up an object and the Mandroid can TK him 10 squares carrying the object, it costs you 2 actions but can deal lots of damage. Couple that with the free moving taxi and RCE figure.

People have lots of different opinions on Black Panther, if you want him only for Outwit the Rookie is the best way to go. The Exp. has B/C/F, Outwit and Stealth which is good, your opponent has to base Black Panther to take out Outwit and risk B/C/F. The problem is, if your opponent wants to knock out Outwit he will likely taxi someone in and hit Black Panther all in one turn to knock out Outwit. The Vet. loses Stealth for Leap/Climb and has one more click of Outwit, which will allow you to push BP (that's about it), any hit and he loses it. I would probably forego Black Panther if that were my only choice, he's fairly expensive. If he's your only choice as a B/C/F figure he's okay, but I would use him over Blade since he can be taxiied in.

Based on the figures you listed, I would go with--

Doombot (E) 33
Bullseye (R) 26
Doombot (R) 27
Black Panther (V) 46
Hydra Medic (E) 15
Scarlet Witch (R) 29

Doing math in my head (which is a dangerous proposition), that's 166 points leaving 34 points. I would upgrade some of the other figures if possible, notably Bullseye and the Doombot; if not, try adding a SHIELD Sniper (V) to hang out by the Medic, Whirlwind (E) or Quicksilver (E) or (V) (Exp. moves for free) to tie up opposing Medics and for their Flurry attacks.

Based on what figs I had, I ended taking the following ( I ended up with 787 pts and 1-1-1 record).

E Doombot, E Logan, E Vulture, E Hydra Medic, and V Hercules.

First game vs. R Thor, E Quicksilver, and E Hercules at the outdoor map. Ended in a draw. We ran in circles not letting each other taxi the big hitter into range. Both of us wanted first blood.

2nd game vs. R Dr. Strange, V Cyclops, R Capt. America, E Hydra Medic at the mansion. I koed Capt. America and he koed Vulture and Doombot. I rolled snake eyes when I first attempted to heal Hercules (when he got hit by Cyclops). I should have kept Logan in cover to use his stealth but forgot to. Should have won this one but lost by 12 points. Need to make better use of the objects and super strength.

3rd game vs. E Ultron, V Bullseye and E Aim Medic at the mansion again. New player I guess. He didn't know you couldn't heal while in base contact with enemy figure and he missed all his breakaway rolls. Koed all his guys.

You should not have had a draw. End of the game, you total VPs. You get VPs for anything you killed, and what survived.

If VPS are tied (hypothetically, lets say you each killed one figure and ended up with 220 VPs) then the win goes to the player whose team was a lower build total (198 points vs. 200 to start). (In your situation, that would be passed if your teams were the same build total)

If that was tied, then you roll a d6 and high roll wins the game.

Kinda silly, but that's how it works. You amy wanna point this out, nicely, to your Judge, since it may have made you miss out of prizes. :)

We both had 200 pts. AFAIK. The prizes were based on total points so that didn't hurt me. I could never get him to move any of his characters into taxi range and likewise him.
