I'm very upset! The last Inquest was a major rip-off in regards to the headline teaser. I bought the magazine ($5.00) on the basis that they would give me some good ideas for playing Heroclix. Instead I got a half page interview with the "supposed" Heroclix World Champion. Utter ####!!!

I Truly believe that Whizkids should put out their own magazine covering all 3 of their lines. Even though I am only interested in Heroclix, I would read about the other product lines.

They can show sneak peeks, Game Strategies, LE figure offers, and Interviews. Maybe they could get famous comic creators to play the game against one another.

WhizKids could utilize the magazine as a PR machine and a tool for market research.

God that would be great!!!!

What do you think? C'mon Whizkids, please do it!!!!

Not a bad idea. Not sure I'd pay $5 for it, but I can certainly see the appeal.

They could have tips, strategies, and armies as well. This would be a good idea for WizKids. They could also have ratings, army clinic, and othr things. This is a very good idea. But should be discussed in the dear wizkids forum.

The HeroClix info in Inquest magazine has been absolutely useless ever since it first appeared. They offer teams and rank characters and all kinds of other stuff ... it just makes it painfully obvious that they don't play the game at all or really care about it.

I would subscribe to a good collectable/playable minis magazine if WizKids did one.

There's no "h" in WizKids by the way.

Well it wouldnt be just heroklix. It would be all klixx. They could do something like whitedwarf (warhammer). Talk about everything that is in designing, battle reports, upcoming sets, sneakpeaks, and such. If done right it could be great.

thanks for the info Green Lantern0, I'll repost my thoughts there. Do you think they really read the forum notes?

It would have to be a spectacular mag for me to pay any money. Basically, it would have to be better than HCRealms, or the other RealmsWorx sites if it was all things WizKids. I doubt that will happen.

Look around, this site rocks! Other than forms for special mail aways, what could they offer that this site doesn't already?

Not only do I think they read those posts, but the people who run this site have a direct connection to Wizkids, because of their exclusives.

I love it! Send a free trial issue to every HCRealms member!

Um, how about something I can read in bed or anywhere else that doen't have an online computer?

I'm all for useful sites, but put it in print and I'll be a lot more likely to read it all. Call me old fasioned... :)

I think the idea is solid, though it's been brought up before on the WizKids forum. The general reply is that although they could do a lot with MK and MW, they would be to restricted by the licensing issues with Marvel and DC to do anything intresting or useful with HeroClix in print.

It would need to be created and printed from an "editorial" or "parody" context by a third party to get around that issue.

I just read a post in the "dear wizkids" forum asking Wizkids to put out a catalog for the Clixpoints on the bottom of their products. I think that's a great idea! It could be in the Magazine!

This whole thing is coming together.

I think that Marvel and DC would be all for the mag because it gives them some publicity as well as WizKids.

A lot more kids would be able to get into it as well, no offense to 10 year olds but do you really want most 10 year olds cruising this site (good site but we can get a bit on the rough side). Anyway, we tend to forget a lot of people don't have steady access to internet connected PCs.

I would buy a WK mag myself.

Try Scrye, they usually have a few good articles each issue. Yes, this is a shameless plug btw. ;)

Actually that was my first thought when I read this thread header. Granted I'd rather read (and would purchase) an "All Clix" mag, I've found Scrye to be the best alternative currently available. I enjoy the magazine for the rest of it's content, but it's recent expansion into (and quality of) Clix information pushed me over the top to finally subscribe.

if not for inquest i wouldnt of been able to get my extra wolverines, supermans, or soon to be green lanterns. they are also available in wizard and toyfair, but the limit is usually two per coupon. so thats 6 figures for $30.00. in the end it helps w/ tradin' for figures i need w/ friends and w/ peeps that didnt start playin' until recently. so inquest isn't THAT bad.

I know Inquest isn't bad from that standpoint, I even purchased them to get the exclusive figures. I was just trying to say that their articles seem rushed and not researched very well.

the problem with that is in Warhammer and company its a made up universe with storys and races that are always changing with releases and such etc. Heroclix evolves with comic books and theres only so many battle reports you could do and honestly I'd be kinda bored with heroclix battle reports its alot more of a linear straightforward game then Warhammer. I enjoy Rocks magezine and I think he and his staff adequetly cover Clix' and other related miniatures game

Why do I need to spend $5 on a magazine when Critical Hit and this site are free? How is any magazine going to cram that much goodness between the covers each month? You don't need anything more than a fast computer to get you what you need. Log on an save a tree:) .

Amen Dut! Amen! Go Critical Hit! And the funny thing is, I enjoy the articles in Critical Hit more then most of the articles in other gaming magazines, and the Critical Hit staff does it for free! Thanks guys!

I was looking for this post to save me time.

There is nothing a paper magazine could provide that tops Critical Hit. And on top of it its free - and delivered.

Done and done, I say.
