They are more fun. Playing with them on the map makes for good games.....can't ask for more than that! :classic:

I feel like it's not worth modding a rare fig unless you're putting some real artistry on the dial. To that end, World's Worst just doesn't impress me; all you did was put sculpts from one fig onto another. At least do some cool effects, or set them up in an interesting way in relation to one another!

I give props to anyone having fun with their figs and doing simple mods, but at the same time encourage working a little more to impress as well as shock.

That all said, there's some very nice paint work in a few of those other figs!

Them's purdy mods, mister. I like Black Hand too. Those Hydro Man hands are very versatile for mods. I use 'em for water elementals in D&D.

The way I look at it, you couldn't have made some of the sculpts worse. Rare or not, the "Superman Prime" sculpt/paint job was awful.

I also hate skrulls beyond every other figure in the game (they're just stupid throw away characters that Marvel decides are interesting some how).

Keep up the good work regardless of the rarity scheme! Rarity scheme be damned!!

Meh, most of them are mediocre repaints at best,... and shock value destruction at worst. I'm neither shocked by the destruction, nor impressed with the art you've made with them.

It's my recommendation that you read the basics of painting thread, and the photographing your customs thread, and maybe practice on some commons before diving right in with the shock value rares.

I have no issues with you modding them. I'm just straight up jealous though. Of all the figures you've modded there, the only one I own is Doom.

I dunno, I think the crappy paint-job adds to the mod. It adds color and personality to the mods that express who the person is. I don't think the mods were to be taken seriously, but something as fun if not "shocking".

No problem, thats the thing most people care about the worth of their figures and not the playability of them. I only care about having the dial to play with. As the figure in top has nothing to do with the game mechanic.

There is not 1 figure I've seen hacking851 alter/mod that he hasn't feilded. His Super Moloid:Illuminati alone, has been the scourge of many a heroclix map that is accompanied by laughter for the entire event.

Hacking has fun making them, playing them and his opponents (at least the ones I've spoken to, and myself included) like the extra bit they bring.

Bottom line, he feels he is getting value the way he uses them thats the main thing..................well that and T-Rack doen't find out. ;) :laugh:

Here's what I don't get: why do you care what he does with his figures? Seriously? Sure he may be looking to get attention through shock value, but based on testimonials, it appears that he uses these figures and has fun doing so? it also appears that he adds a fun factor to the gaming enviornment, something that is lost in the cutthroat enviornment of gaming and trading.

I approve of these mods! I mean it's his clix do whatever you want with them. As someone else that modded some pricey figures (at the time. The Judge heralds and Starro slaves have gone down I think) I know the entertainment factor of seeing an opponents reaction. But it's also something that makes it one of a kind. After all I'm pretty sure he had the only Skrull Batman and Superman in existence "laugh:

It's you, and others like you, that are exactly the reason (or one of the reasons) some of us will mod these overpriced figures.

Especially the Worlds Finest piece.
It sold out so fast & there was such rancor coming from the people who couldn't understand "Limited Availability" & "While Supplies Last"....
It's hillarious to know that our modding this figure to our own tastes sets you people off on such a frenzy.
