View Full Version : 200pt team
Here's a 200 point team I'm trying. It will be pretty tough outdoors, since there are no flyers/taxis. Also, i have no medics. It should be a nice challenge though.
Spiral (MoD)
Rookie Jean Grey (X)
Veteran Boomerang (MoE)
Veteran Toad (Bro)
Exp Black Cat. (Spidy)
This is a team for fun and messing around. Opinions possitive or negative welcome..
Peace,
Striker
Noone likes this team i guess... LoL. I played it yesterday against my bro. He had Doc Oc, Night Crawler, Bullseye, and a medic. I won but it was cus of Spiral and Black cat. Toad ran in peoples way so they couldn't hit spiral. It was actually a fun game. I think the team will be better if I replace Jean & Boomerang for E Bullseye, E AIM medic, and R mandroid armor. What do you guys think about that team?
Spiral
R Mandroid Armor
E Bullseye
V Toad
E AIM Medic
E Black Cat
Thanks,
Striker
Both look pretty good. If they play well, that'shows you have a good eye. If they can beat any other 200 point force (which, let's face it, is the goal we are all looking for) then inevitably it would get outlawed and called cheese. ;)
I would like to refer to an article posted by WizKids that has helped me immeasurably in my tournaments, and of the 12 I have attended I took first at seven, second at three and let's just not talk about the other two :)
It says you need a) damage, b) ranged, c) flight/taxi and d) bells and whistles. My only addition to this is you want as much of that as possible intermixed.
Example: R. Firelord. The guy is 66 points, flies, has good ranged stats, and damage out the wazzoo. Combine him with a shield or A.I.M. medic and lo, he is almost unstoppable (for 200 points).
I am a firm believer in your choices of E. Black Cat. If I could have fit her into every 200 pnt. tourney I would have.
Anyhoo. Teams look fun. The variety is very nice. And, in the end, if you enjoy playing it and it wins at least 50%, that's all that matters.
Thanks Donblas, and that's is quite an impressive record! Congratulations. I haven't played in a tourney before, but it sounds like it could be fun. I play with my friends mostly. We would play 200 points because we didn't have much of a collection.... We play 300 to 400 now because our collection has grown, we can play higher but we've found that 300-400 is a good range to get a good team, that isn't super powerful.
I also read that article by Wizkids a little back. Good article.
