I'll be entering in a 300 point Marvel only touranment next week. With my current assortment of clix, what would be my best possible army?
Here's the full list (http://www.hcrealms.com/cgi-bin/quickviewteam.cgi?teamname=Kaiser&username=KaiserSelroc&action=text) of my collection.
Here's some ideas I've come up with so far:
Team 1
U Wolverine 64
E Wasp 33
U Prof. X 92
E Mandriod 32
R SHIELD Medic 12
V Doc Oc 66
Team 2
E Human Torch 59
V Doombot 38
V Hercules 83
R Magneto 80
R Hydra Medic 15
E Skrull Commando 14
R Skrull Commando 11
Team 3
V Human Torch 73
R Whirlwind 20
R Kingpin 24
R Sandman 61
E Mandroid 32
V SHIELD Agent 14
R SHIELD Sniper 14
R SHIELD Medic 12
R Vampire Lackey 12
V Doombot 38
(I like this group the best. 5 SHIELD teammates, plus a Doombot makes 6, and that makes for a firing squad nobody will want to go near. A lot of figs in this army, but Doombot and Kingpin add leadership, and I could replace Torch and Whirlwind with Profesor X for more leadership)
If you have any suggestions as to what would make the best combinations and stradgy, please help me out.

You only ever get one extra action with Leadership, no matter how many models with Leadership you have. So, more than one Leadership model is usually unnecessary, and more than two is overkill.
I wouldn't go with any of the teams you play, to be honest. If the figures you've listed are all you have, I'd use the following:
U Wolverine 64
E Wasp 33
V Doc Ock 66
V Doombot 37
R Sandman 61
R SHIELD Medic 12
R Hydra Medic 15
R Skrull Commando 11
Total: 299
The Skrull gives your Doombot the Skrull ability; having as many different teams as possible on any team with wildcards is the way to go.
You have two free moves (Wasp and Doombot), Leadership (Doombot), a heavy hitter (Wolverine) the ultimate cheap invulnerable blocker (Sandman), two medics, and Doc Ock, probably the most versatile model in CT.
Lead with Sandman; you're fine to let him get hit, and hit often, because he breaks from combat easily and is easily healed with his low Defense. Use Wasp to taxi Wolverine into hindering terrain, and then into combat.
Use Doombot for ranged support, pumping him up as necessary with your medics' pumping abilities (SHIELD and Hydra).
You're going to have trouble against anyone who has the full sets to build teams from, but if I had what you've listed, this is what I'd play.

Forgot to mention: your list link points to the list of the user who clicks it. So I saw my own list when I hit it.
I actaully put 2 figs with leadership in my armies. It improves my chances of getting the one extra action from 50% to around 90% (87.5% I think).

You can only use leadership once? I did not know that...
Here's the link to my collection (http://www.hcrealms.com/cgi-bin/quickviewteam.cgi?teamname=Kaiser&username=KaiserSelroc&action=text).

75%. Three Leadership figures is 87.5%.
It's still a ####shoot. Leadership is expensive; spending 20 points on a 25% chance of getting another action is, IMHO, not cost-effective.

"What's the best possible army? "
From the sounds of it the one you'll be sitting across from. JK
I like team three, But I would have two, and only two, One to fight another to Stay put. And again that ODs thing is good too.

It depends on your army theme. With the Avengers, or Brotherhood, I agree, but with Sheild, you need all of the order you can get to boost their damagepast 2 or effectively use EE.
Just looking at the list of figs you have, here's your "Must Play" army.
E Wasp -- Cheap, free moving taxi, who's also hard to hit.
V Doc Ock -- As has been said, his combo of Perplex, Willpower, and solid numbers is just nasty. And he's cheap.
V Herc -- a solid attacker, even if he's a piece of @#$% when it comes to defensive abilities.
E Hydra Medic -- you'll need her to keep Herc alive
U Wolverine -- possibly the best Wolverine released thus far. 12 attack with BCF is just HUGE, so definitely field him.
Total thus far: 261
Now, with the points you have left, you can go one of two directions. You can either add the V Doombot for leadership and another free-moving taxi, or you could add the E Mandroid for Telekinesis, which would allow you to rocket Hercules 10 squares away while carrying an object. It really depends on what you want to go for. Personally, I'd go with the Mandroid, then see if you can scrounge up a rookie Thug to fill the rest of the points. TK is absurdly powerful, while you can also pair him with Doc Ock to give Ock a 4 damage ranged attack.

I've seen this question like a gazillion times, and never really wanted to post a reply to it. BUT... I got bored of reading and decided to finally voice my concerns over to what the BEST 300 point marvel team could be. well, this is MY call, cause i've run a ####load of 300 point marvel teams.
my regular 300 point tourney caliber marvel team is like this:
U Electra
V Doc Ock
E Cyclops
LE Clay Quartermain
V Black Panther
U Wasp
V Aim Medic
It's 299 points. you get what could be the best mix of figures for 300 points. we'll do the run down.
U Electra bar none the best anti ranged peice in the game. her attack raise of two cover energy deflection on targets. Stealth her and hit them, then wait for a base.
V Doc Ock. Not quite batman, but a massivly undervalued peice. He's also EXTREMELY useful against firelord with his high attack and perplex.
E Cyclops. I know bulseye is cheaper, but bullseye doesn't do 4 damage at range and can fight back if based. plus the 3 target is great when mixed with
LE Clay Quartermain. it's called pushing for shield ability with willpower. for 22 points. plus he reatains a decent attack his whole dial. 8 range energey explosion helps out too.
U Wasp. What i think could be the best cost-effecient unique in marvel. free taxi with the possiblitity of adding what would be your 5th actin to a turn can be AWESOME on the first three turns.
V Black panther. Leap/blades/outiwit and a 4 range. He's usually the clean-up peice on the board. Just ask SOL and his avengers team. =)
V Aim Medic is quite awesome. she's a Checkmate-lite, only missing the 2 damage slot.
and that's MY rundown on what the BEST 300 point team is. it kills the oldschool firelord/wasp/black panther in about 4 turns. faster if doc bases the medic on turn 2...=)
-R:rolleyes:
Actually, That is The best I've seen in a while. Good Amount of Figs, Good amount of Strategy, And Great Offensive. Just Lacking some in Defense.

So my real choices are Doombot or Mandroid and Herc or Sandman/Skrull/SHIELD Medic.
I'm suprised nobody's proposing any teams with Profesor X. There's bound to be at least one cheeseball who's gonna field Firelord, and mind control is the best way to handle any team with him on it. I guess he's just too expensive for smaller teams.
Which One? Hover Chair or Reg. Cuz I play Hover chair Just Cause it looks cool. But Yeah I guess that is a point. Last TIme I checked AIM Medic, Checkmate, and Hydra (Especially Hydra) MEdics all seemed worse. OR I was looking at Rookie's and Not Experienced. but I like SHIELDs because I have U Nick Fury

hey pm me and play me online sometime... i want to see how this team actually is the "BEST 300" point team.
OOh, That's Possible? Seems like it could get confusing, but I would like to try it. Then Again, I probably can't beat anyone here. *Fufu*

i dont play online, Xavier.it seems that for some reason online clixing is massivly currupt. the rools are usually flubbed, because everyone allways rolls 8s or 12s or generates knockback. the only way you'd get to play me is to come to pitttsburgh.... or go to origins this year and find me.

If you use the dice server at dice@pbm.com you’ll usually get good, fair results from the dice. Send a message to that address with the subject line “HELP” for the rules on how to use it.
Personally, I just don’t use the unique of Professor X because there are other characters out there who can do what he does better. The only real perk to him is that he’s got that 11 attack, which gives you better than even odds to hit up to an 18 defense. The only other characters who can do that are his other versions and V Controller (who has one click of 12 attack with MC, but no range). E White Queen matches the Prof’s range and exceeds his damage, plus has Super-Senses and is cheaper. Moondragon has a shallow dial, but has 10 range, flies, and can TK others into battle. If he’s all you have, then fine, but there are better choices out there.

I just want to say thank you to everybody who gave their 2 cents. Tonight I entered the tourny with the proposed team of:
U Wolverine 64
E Wasp 33
V Doc Ock 66
V Doombot 37
R Sandman 61
R SHIELD Medic 12
R Hydra Medic 15
R Skrull Commando 11
So how'd I do?
I got creamed. Murdered. I lost every game I played, and failed to even take out a single fig from any of my opponents. Ouch. Instead of Sandman tying up the opponent's toughest and more moble figs, he was whipped out in two turns by opponents who either used outwit to take away his invulnerability or got lucky roles from support characters with b/c/f getting critical hits AND rolling a 6. Having two medics proved useless as I was unable to get my injured figs back to them before being blasted into oblivion (Curse you Daredevil! Curse you Thor! Curse you hindering terrain!). My foolish decision not to push my SHIELD Medic to heal proved fatal for Doc Oc. Wasp is utterly useless when forced to be used as an attack piece. Wolverine, as bada$$ as he is, proved no match against a virtually untouched full 300 point force and was ganged up on, and then so was Doombot.
Basically, a combination of poor roles and a few questionable decisions and I was handed my must humiliating string of defeats ever. But I'm definately not fielding that team ever again. I'm gonna buy a few boosters tomorrow and cross my fingers.

ouch sorry man
the team wasn't the best in the world... but you still should have been competative with that team.
if i knew every move that you did maybe we might be able to work on some strategy... or maybe your opponents had rickisadork's team?!
