Suicide Squad Team Ability-- WTF?

Ok, this will be an easy one but I have no idea what this is trying to say.

Suicide Squad Team Ability: "When a friendly character adjacent to a character using the Suicide Squad team ability is KO’d, roll a d6 and subtract 2 from the result, minimum result 1. After the action is resolved, if this character is not KO’d, it is healed of damage equal to the result."

What does it mean if a character is not KO'd??? To use this ability, it says the character is KO'd. Does this team ability somehow bring the KO'd character back to life?????

I'm totally not understanding this one. :confused:

Your other people die next to you when you can use the team ability, then you heal.

Unless the same thing that KOed them KOed you.

Often, people will pack pogs and push them to death next to SS members. Pretty decently thematic, too.
