I was posting and following a thread that, due to some posts off topic of the original post, got moved to the politics forum and now I can no longer post to it. Why is that the case?

I did not do that. I am very sure that moderators cannot ban members from threads. Maybe another mod can help you better than I did.

My guess why you cannot post is that the thread was closed. If you provide a link it might prove to be helpful.

IIRC, only donors can post to threads in the politics forum.

Give that man a ceeeegar! The thread was moved to the subscription-only politics forum. Only people with paid memberships can post there.

Sorta kinda unfair to someone that had already posted in the thread, but given the way some of the posts were going, I don't mind staying away from it.

BTW, it was the false post about NECA reviving Horrorclix...

Not really that unfair. The OP began political discussion and the thread resorted in more of the same. It needed to be moved or closed.

The real shame of it is that there was some good conversation coming from that thread about HorrorClix.
