So, despite the rain and remaining snow, we have a tournament tonight, 200 points, mixed Marvel and DC. I don't know whether it will be 1-on-1 or a rumble, and I don't know whether it will be an indoor or outdoor map. They opponents are widely varied in skill, tactics, and army preferences.
I have these three armies, one of which I must choose.
A.
U Flash, E Black Panther, U Cyclops, R Shield Sniper, R Shield Medic. 197 points.
This team is good against Outwitters and Nightcrawler, and is good outdoors. But, it has no flyer, Leadership, or Probability Control, and is very vulnerable to the fly-a-gorilla-up-and-smash-Black-Panther tactic. I could replace Cyclops and the sniper with E Controller or V Sabretooth, sacrificing my range for a gorilla of my own.
B.
2 Mark I Sentinels. 200 points.
12 hits each, they will be able to take a pounding. And, they will be perfect if someone fields just one or two high-point characters (the ol' snatch and grab). Two big targets, though, and Invulnerability could give me a real problem.
C.
V Black Panther, E Black Panther, R Black Panther, U Wasp, E Wasp, and an E Shield Medic. 200 points.
This is my current favorite. Three outwits, a lot of claws and fangs, very high mobility, and the whole team can hide behind the two Stealthy Panthers if they're hidden. Also, if I make my Leadership roll, I can move the entire team in one turn if I need to. If there's a big weakness to this team, I can't think of it.
So, what do my HCRealms brothers and sisters think? Please tear them apart, and/or offer suggestions. I'll let you all know how I do.
