Done to death!

the following mods are, in my opinoin, done to often, and should be reconsidered before you do them:
punisher
yellow-red costumed daredevil
anyone made with a shield agent
animated batman

any others i may have left out?

Punisher: Yes, alot of people make him. Maybe WizKids will catch the idea.
Classic Daredevil: Huh? I've only seen one mod of him.
SHEILD Agent: Hey, it's not the moders fault if it's an easy figure to get and use.
Animated Batman: I haven't seen any mods for him yet.

i dont know i figure if people want to make mods and take the time to do so they can make whoever they wnat.
i know i dont have the skill or the patience to do that and i applaud all who do
keep up the good work and i enjoy lookin at the various mods

No particular mods/repaint has been done too often until everyone who wants one has one.

The yellow & red Daredevil and animated (black cape & cowl) Batman are easy repaints that are great for a "first try" for somebody who wants to get started with an easy project.

Maybe you're saying they shouldn't post them. But some people want them to play with. No mod could be overdone, maybe overexposed.

a punisher from a nick fury, THAT i would like.

and i dont object to people making mods, just if 10 other people post a sheild agent-to-a-punisher, i dont think that you should do it. its all been done.

once someone makes a mr mxyzptlk, i'll stop complaining.

Why shouldn't someone do it, even if it's been done before? I don't understand.

Let's assume that for some reason I wanted a Punisher. (I don't, but let's assume I did). There is currently no Heroclix Punisher figure. I recall that I've seen one made from a SHIELD Agent before, so I go ahead and make one for my collection. I now have a Punisher figure. Happy me.

I personally use the mods I've seen for inspiration a lot, but that's largely because I use Heroclix figures, cut off of their bases, for a Superhero RPG I'm in.

I'll agree that there's no need to post a mod that's been done over and over. But why not do it if you want that figure?

why not post it or why not make it?

i have no qualms (yes i said qualm) againt you making it, but i will be peeved( yes i said peeved) if you post it because it has been seen many times before. if you have made a mod of some one that has not been used yet ( like mr mxyzptlk (hint hint, all you modders)) go ahead, post it. whatever. but if the same guy has been made the same way several times, it would be annoying to see it again. if you make a different guy, or the same guy a different way, that would be alright. but shield agent converted to punisher gets repetitive. if you want to make one, do so. if not, that's ok. but if you make it, dont post it unless there is something interesting about it.

New modders dont pay attention to this dribble. If you have made a clix that has been done a lot and you feel proud of it please post it. I for one am glad people make custom clix because it gives me inspiration to do some like theirs. If it takes making a punisher to get you started I say make a punisher. If you are proud of it it post it. No one is forcing anyone to look at every post on the forum.

Although I have never made a punisher or cable I must say I am tempted to now. Maybe all modders should make and post a cable/punisher figure.

Yes, I agree 100%. If you've taken the time to mod a figure, then please post it here. You should always be proud of your efforts, and let them stand on their own, not against what anyone else has done. I think someone should host a gallery of nothing but Punisher/SHIELD mods.

i've only seen 1 silver surfer and 1 iceman but i've seen like 5 classic daredevils and they just get on my nerves

You know Zauriel, nobody is forcing you to look at mods.

And come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing your name on a mod. Until you start doing stuff of your own, I think you'd best keep your mouth shut. Even if people are making Punishers, at least they're making something.

Nobody wants to hear some guy whine about something he's doing nothing to change.
