1000 Point tourney coming up this weekend. Golden Age rules. Anything goes, including big figs. There will be R Starro + Slaves, R Galactus + Heralds, and R Spectre + Mystics teams. The only thematic slots left are a Lantern Corps and a Sentinel team.
To level the playing field, Power Cosmic/Quintessence team abilities will be ignored. However, the Multi-Attack ability is still valid.
Starro will be the biggest threat to deal with, but since the Power Cosmic/Quintessence figs can take pushing/Incap damage and are vulnerable to Outwit, I'm almost leaning toward a Sentinel team that can Multi-Attack + Incap several targets in one turn. If I'm going to field a Lantern team, it will be the Sinestro Corps in order to give me a chance to run my Guardian of Fear without getting angry stares. ;)
A Black Lantern team would be fun, as I don't know when I'd be able to ever use this team again (I'd borrow the figs ). However, it's not as competitive as the other teams, and they would be at a disadvantage (no figure with Multi-Attack, and susceptible to Capture).
Sinestro Corps (999)
V Amon Sur
R Arkillo
R Guardian of Fear Anti-Monitor
E Lyssa Drak + Brilliant Tactician
V Sinestro (Legacy)
R Sinestro Construct
R Yellow Lantern
Black Lantern Corps (998)
Black Flash (x2)
Black Hand
Kal-L
Martian Manhunter
Nekron
+ Black Lantern object
Sentinels (996)
Nimrod + Auto-Regen
Sentinel Alpha-3 (x2)
Sentinel Beta-7
Sentinel Mark I
Nanobots (x2) (for two of the Sentinels)
Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Without the Quint/PC TA's, the colossals won't be as tough to deal with. Of course this assumes that they also can't be given actions when they have 2 tokens on them, but even then, it would still be like the MoE TA where they take pushing dmg each time. Or is there a line in each colossal's rules that state they don't take pushing dmg? I think a few of them have that in the rules. You should check beforehand. If you run a Sinestro Corp team, I'd skip on the colossals (the Construct and both flavors of AM) altogether. If you do go with a colossal, remember to put Fortitude on it. There's going to be too much Outwit being used to make them worth while.
In any case, I'd run something like:
V Leg Sinestro 146
-Protected 8
-Armor Piercing 10
-Nanobots 10
Lyssa Drak 72
-Brilliant Tact. 20
-Protected 8
-Nanobots 10
Yellow Lantern 65
-Armor Piercing 10
-Protected 8
Amon Sur 70
Arkillo 126
-Protected 8
AA Manhunter 64 x6 = 384
-Thwart 15 x3 = 45
1000pts
I didn't include any SR's, Chase or LE's, but feel free to modify if you have any, especially the SR Sinestro who is MUCH better than the V Legacy for the same pts. There's a ton of Outwit on this team and I included Thwart on 3 of the Manhunters so that neither Sinestro nor Lyssa will become an even bigger target. And Lyssa starts with Perplex anyways. This way, you won't have to worry about Fortitude on opposing Colossals. And remember that a figure can use Thwart AND Outwit on the same turn. Some nice Range, TK, and a cc beast in Arkillo. Dmg values are a little low, but all the Manhunters have Incap while the rest of the Corp combine fire to take down the biggest threats.
I'm a huge fan of the Sinestro Corps team. I believe you'd do the best with that, if you're aiming to win. [Maybe swap out Yellow Lantern for something thats.. not the yellow lantern]. [My vote is kick 2 guys out, add a Grodd] But other than that, the Guardian of Fear + The nice support will probably win you the game.
Black Lantern Corps is probably your best bet for fun. Each member has awesome abilities and is super fun to play. [<3 Black Hand]. If you want some crazy action, go for them.
Sentinels. This would be hilarious and probably lose terribly. Sentinels tend to have low attacks, defenses, and really rely on capture. In a 1k battle, odds of you going up against something with an 18/19 defense is pretty high, so i'd probably suggest not to use them. Hilarious in a group game, not really practical in any competitive setting.

I love the Sentinels as a team, it's just a ton of fun. Though I'd think about dropping one of them (the Mk1 maybe) and adding in Ahab. Thematic and adds a bit of punch the Mk1's lacking.
With the freed up 32 points (36 total), maybe add in a R Sentinel Trooper for 20 points as a taxi for Nimrod (plus it has the SHIELD TA too) leaving 16 points left over to spend on a few more feats (or add in a Wild Sentinel BT for fun)

i really cant say I am pleased with the excessive range of galactus (i think spectre loses range for lower point values. It is too bad you cant do a monster theme team with Fin Fang Foom, he would be a bruiser and there are tons of things you could use thematically with him...

Thanks for the feedback!
I'll try the Sinestro Corps team, as I'm afraid that the Black Lantern Corps' Black Lantern may wind up benefiting the other teams, and the Sentinels need more firepower in order to take out the big figs (Spectre, Galactus, Starro, Foom).

A slot for Foom is available (forgot about him), but I don't have access to one. He'd be one of the better choices, as he can Charge and attack; I'd add Captain America (HoT), Gamora, Elektra (SI), Power Man and Iron Fist, Batgirl (Cassie Cain), and R Nightwing (HT).

Update: I came in second place with the Sinestro Corps team.
After the Anti-Monitor was KO'd quickly during the first game, I kept him in the back to lend support/draw opponents in. Arkillo and Lyssa Drak scored the most KOs, and the Sinestro Construct was my MVP, successfully capturing and releasing 10 figures over 3 games.
I faced Foom, Sentinels, and Starro. The Sentinels went down quickly, while Foom and a Martial Artist team (similar to the one I outlined above) were a pain. I scored a few crit hits on Starro, wearing him down and eventually landing a KO.
Grand prize was a colossal figure of the winner's choosing from the judge's collection. Second place was a choice between all JSA-themed figures (REV/U) from the Origin set (LE Johnny Thunder was added) or a Blackest Night Starter + Black Lantern object. I went with the JSA lot.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I'd have to chime in for Sinestro Corps. The best part is tossing in two Arkillo figs for their Flurry/Barrier SP. If you position him right then the Colossals won't be able to attack back without first destroying the Barrier.
Shield Disruptor will be a must.
Other than that, any teams like Avengers with Namor, Hercules & Spider-man will be great with their Flurry powers.
