in addition to the powers he already has, he should have willpower, defend, and close combat expert. high attack and defense too

And RCE, and Super Strength, and Mind Control, and a Death Ray, and Probability Control...

Wait.
Stop.

Why do you want to remake Cap's dial? What would you like to accomplish with this mod?

Captain America is one of my fav. heroes.

Speed

Charge
Stealth

Attack

Incapacitate (knock them out with the shield)

Defense

Enegry Shield/Deflection (unbreakable shield)
Toughness (can take a beating and still beat you)
Willpower (he wont stop)

Damage

Close Combat Expert (master of several fighting styles)
Leadership (hes Cap he and lead any size army to victory)
Outwit (he knows what you are going to do before you do)

Captain America is the Superman of the Marvel Universe, everyone respects him. He is the best leader out there and the only one that could command gods and kings in battle. Cap knows what you are going to do before you do it or what you are doing as soon as you do it and has a counter for everything.

Currently Cap won't have CCE

CLose Combat Expert looks to be a DC only power just like Impervious & Forceblast are.

Just because they didn't bring it over from DC into Marvel with Clobberin' Time doesn't mean they won't in the future.

I made new stats for the Captain about a month ago. They're on my site if you'd like to see what I gave him.

Keeping in reasonable, I think a higher powered Cap should have:

At least two arrows (maybe 3) One of the greatest things about him in the comics is how he can bounce that shield off of multiple opponents or around corners etc.

A click of Defend how often do we see him covering his fellow Avengers or innocent bystanders ?!

an intial attack of 10 and hold it for the second clik
(he is marvel's "greatest fighting machine"

and maybe...maybe a click of CCE

but more then that would probably be pushing it.

and he should keep that toughness at the end of his dial.

Heres the deal.

I don't like leadership.

I especially do not like it's lack of synergy with the Avengers team ability.

Now, I will use the ability if one of my figures has it. Some of my X-men teams need that extra action. And while I do not enjoy complaining about the game, when leadership comes up I will say that I think the effects of the power are a poor representation of what a great leader is capable of.

What should a great leader do in a combat situation? He should be able to help his teams find creases in his opponents armor. He should be able to stand back, call the shots and help his team to be more effective. What power does this in heroclix?

Perplex.

Now, for it to work on captain americas dial, you have to put the effect of the power over it's name. Captain America never truly perplexes people, but his presence on the battlefield gives his entire team a boost which can be best represented by perplex.
Now of course, any fan can justify his favorite hero getting outwit and so on... but the truth is, I don't even like Captain America. The effect of the power is just that fitting to his role on a team.

My captain america starts out with perplex and he never gains the "leadership" power.

Willpower is also a great ability for him to have.

I really don't think Close combat expert fits him well, he never truly bashes the stockings off of people. Not in a way that would do 4 points of damage at least. What I have seen him do time and time again in the comics is to tie-up the enemies heavy hitter while his more powerfull teamates work on the villans. This would be well represented by incapicitate.

Here's my take on a new Cap:

Captain America (V), 92 points
Range: 6/2, Team: Avengers

8RS 8RS 7Chg 7Chg 6 6 6
10 10 9 9 8 7 6
17Def 16ES 15ES 15T 15T 14Wil 13Wil
3Ld 3Ld 2Ld 2 2 1Ow 1Ow

OK, he starts off with a pretty good attack and def, with Running Shot and Defend, along with the customary Leadership. As he move down the dial, the RS changes to Charge and the Def changes to Energy Shield to represent his, well, shield. After he loses Ld, he changes over to Toughness for his high endurance. Finally as he nears the end of his dial, he gains 2 clicks of Willpower and Outwit for his never-quit attitude. His stats drop slowly but steadily, and his 7 clicks of health keep him around for a while. Avengers team adds only a few points to his cost and give him the early options to move for free or move and attack for a normal action. All in all, a well-rounded All-American fighter.

Hey Enigma I really like that Cap.... would be happy to pay the price for him and run him as the true Avengers leader.

Maybe next release ?
