Fantastic Four starter set Human Torch with Protected and Life model decoy or FFSS Mr. Fantastic with Brilliant Tactician

I voted Mr. Fantastic, but this is also assuming you have other characters that share team ability or keywords to go with him.

That Mr. Fantastic is disgusting with Brilliant Tactician. I would pick him over many 200+ point figures if he's going on a team with guys he can actually use Brilliant Tactician on (and I assume he is).

I don't thinks theres real a choice. The 2 perplex is too good to pass up for a 2nd string attacker.

Ummm......is there even a question? of course its Mr. Fantastic!!

That Mr. Fantastic is one of the better pieces in the game. This really isn't much of a contest.

Love me some Reed Richards & my world famous Scientist teams! That +2 Perplex is too stank to pass up on!

Why would you ever put LMD on Human Torch? If you did he wouldn't be able to take advantage of the FF TA (ie. no healing).

hands down Mr. fantastic with BT feat, whether it's a FF team or scientist keyword, illuminati keyword ole stretch wins hands down by a landslide.

FFSS Mr. Fantastic and Brilliant Tactician

Mr. Fantastic FTW.

There are many cheap (under 100 points) and effective Scientist-keyworded characters that can take advantage of the enhanced Perplex: SI Spider-Man, Dr. Octopus, Mole Man, Morbius, Tarantula; Supernova Ant-Man, R Kang, etc.

A better question: will this be the most lopsided poll in HC Realms history? Story at 11.............

I might vote for LE Johnny Storm with Nova Blast and Protected.

The better question is what Super-Perplexer would you rather have?

SI Dr. Strange with BT?

or

FFSS Mr. Fantastic with BT?

I wish the old MM Trick Shot still worked because then Mr. Fantastic takes the cake, but I still love being able to DF and see through all around you.

I want to hear from one of the people who voted for the Human Torch. This often seems to happen in polls: there's one really unlikely choice that some people pick, but no one ever explains their reasoning for picking. I'd much rather hear the rationale of the minority than more people talking about how great we already know Mr. Fantastic is.

Reasons for picking Human Torch.

1. Had a seizure while trying to pick Mr. Fantastic

2. Lap caught on fire and hit the mouse while trying to put it out.

3. Cat jumped on computer desk.

4. Does not comprehend Heroclix or strategy in any manner whatsoever.

5. To be different and/or obnoxious.

Even if you are talking about a one on one battle where Mr. Fantastic's BT would be severely limited, he is still the better piece.

Reed can use BT to perplex Johnny's damage down to one, forcing Johnny to roll a critical hit to hurt him. Reed is also immune to Johhny's poison, so he will be able to base Johhny and then force him to roll a 6 to breakaway. But again, to what end? Johnny needs either RCE or PW to do any damage, and Reed can make sure that Johhny is never at range to use them.

If Reed is unable to drraw a LoF to Johhny to use perplex in advance, then he will always increase his own defense and force Johnny to roll a far from easy 9 when he makes his first strike. After that, though, if Johhny can fire at Reed, then Reed can base Johnny and perplex his way to an easy victory.

a better question is: witch doom can take both of them down?

I've been very successful using Mr. Fantastic in FF or Scientist themed teams and loved the +2/-2 he dishes out from perplex. But I looked at the Human Torch, which I didn't use much, with Protected and LMD and thought WOW that would be cool.

In the end even though I had success with Mr. Fantastic w/BT, I choose Human Torch w/LMD & Protected for this one. Can't wait to try it.

Do you play Heroclix as a 1v1 game? No one does. You did not understand the point of the poll.

Why would you put LMD on Human Torch when he qualifies for Forcefield for 2 points cheaper?

Definitely voting on Reed for his mega-usefulness on this one.

Even in a straight one-on-one fight, Mr. Fantastic should still win - Mr. Fantastic just Perplexes up his Defense to a 19, meaning that the Torch needs to roll a 9 to hit him. Once Fantastic actually has a line of fire to the Torch, he just Perplexes his Damage down to a 1. This renders the Torch unable to harm Fantastic, due to Toughness.

Once Fantastic has the Torch based, things go poorly for Johnny.
