Who is Firelord

I don't know much about him, and I was wondering who he is. I mean, I don't even know if he's a villan or hero. Just a little (and I mean very little) would help,

Dependant on storyline he can be either a hero or villian.

Despite what some may say he's still one of the most effectively efficient pieces in HC. And IMHO not broken if you know how to play strategically.

At last but not least. Just one of the many that have been defeated by Spider-Man, our 25-ton Friendly Neighborhood Webslinger.

Firelord is generally a heroic character but, because of his (appropriately) fiery temper, he gets duped by villians into attacking heroes. Eric the Red convinced him to fight the X-men and he's fought Spider-man. But he has teamed-up with the Silver Surfer and the Avengers at times also. So in Heroclix he can go on just about any team.

I'd say that, by now, he's a hero by default. It's been a very long time since the lame as all heck stories where he'd randomly be a villain all over again such as that horrendous spiderman story where spiderman beat him half to death with little effort.

My main feeling in that he's a good guy is that he's been on the hero side in ALL the big cosmic marvel crossovers of the late 80's onward (Infinity Gauntlet, War, Crusade, etc). Granted that, in the Infinity Crusade he was on Goddess' side (the bad side) along with many others such as Captain America & Spider Man, Goddess only claimed super heroes to work for her; no villains.

Firelord is a Herald of Galactus (like Silver Surfer) who was evil at first (he was basically a dog, did what ever the master told him to) and then with aid of the Avengers defeated Galactus.
