I just started playing Clix a couple weeks ago. When I started, I decided I wanted to make a faction-based team. As ALL my friends were trying for the X-men, I decided to go with my buddies, the Avengers. As this is my first team, I was wondering if anyone would rate it. Ah well, here it is:

The team is:
(V) Hercules-my beatstick
(V) Pyro-decent range fighter, barrier is useful
(V) Scarlet Witch-PC
(E) Captain America-leadership, decent fighter
(V) Hydra Medic-heals
(E) Hydra Medic-ditto
(E) Puppet Master- mind control, cuz i dont have X
(E) Jean Grey-TK
(R) Wasp-airlift
(R) Yellowjacket-ditto
(R) Black Panther- outwit
(V) Thug-i had 10 pts. left over
This was the best figures I could muster, given my meager collection of Clix.

Not bad at all. It's hard to call it an Avengers team, but it's understandable since your new and dont have a huge collection.
My suggestions would be to try to drop Puppetmaster as soon as possible. His poor attack rating and low range seriously hurt him. Jean Grey could also go since you don't really have a great need for Telekenesis. This works best for moving characters with battle fury and thats not a problem for you.
I would try to upgrade wasp to her experenced version to gain the avengers team ability.
Try to add a doombot (wildcard) and replace one of the Hydra medics with a shield.
The Shield team ability works amazingly with the stealthed captain america and especially pyros energy explosion.
Another good option is to replace Jean, a medic, puppetmaster and the Thug with a version of Doctor Strange.
Hope this helps!

Given that you say you don't have a lot of figs, its hard to tell you what to put in and what not to without suggesting something you don't have, but here is by take:
Herc - okay, that's fine
Pyro - I'm with you...
Scarlet Witch - doing fine... alho you might want to consider downgrading her to rookie or exp and using the points elsewhere.
Captain America - I'm not a fan personnally.... maybe a vet Doombot instead? He still has leadership on his 1st click, and can be a taxi or a fighter in a pinch
Medics - okay...
Puppet Master- he sucks IMHO, take him out
Jean- You already have 2 taxies, doombot could be a 3rd, so I don't see a point here.
Wasp/Yellowjack- okay...
Black Panther- Fine...
Thug- Not a big fan of the idea.... I don't like putting in roving terain like this with all those points that could be used to upgrade another fig or something like that... and it strikes me you still need another good heavy fitter... maybe rookie Hulk or a Thor(both avengers!)?
I guess what I'm trying to say is you are using too much points in support rolls(IE PC, Support, and taxis) and not enough on fighters. You really only have 2 decent ones in Herc and Pyro, you need 1 or 2 more at least. Again, I don't know what figs you have... and these is just my thoughts. I'm SURE you can find someone out there who will disagree with me on just about everything. ;-)
And of course, it depends on if you want to go hardcore theme(IE you don't really care if you win) or if its a "losely based on" kinda thing(Which is what it seems like).
Either way, consider my opinon, and have fun!

Thanks for all the input guys...I totally agree on the whole Puppetmaster issue, and removing Jean is something I have not considered, but it is a logical idea. I will be able to construct a tighter Avengers team once I get more figs.
Thanks,
EJ
