Rock Music Trios - Round 2 Match 8

Who is the best Trio in music? From Power Rock Trios to acoustic to the Brothers Gibb, all these suggestions came from HCR members. Since we didn't have a full 64 bands to fill out the brackets, I gave 16 bands a first round bye. There will be 16 matches in round 1 and 16 in round two. Each band will get one song from youtube or other links and you make a choice based on the songs provided.

So vote for your faves, match by match and then round by round until we get to the final match and you can decide which band is the best of the trios and can be crowned Champion of the Realms.

If you feel a reason to hype a certain band and influence voters, by all means be our guest. No one knows every nuance of every act and maybe you can sway someone to your side.

It’s like having a new girlfriend that you really dig, but then you see your ex and she’s still really hot and you remember all those great times you had with her and you find out she's single again. Minutemen

This is maybe the first round where I am a fan of both groups. Minuteman are a solid garage rock band and there is always room for groups like them and the Dirt Bombs and their ilk in my library, but Wolfmother is probably the second best neo-70's rock group going right now (after the Strokes). This vote could change from hour to hour depending on my mood.

Mike Watt was nice to me at a fIREHOSE show in Detroit (or maybe it was Ann Arbor - I just tried doing a search to see if I could figure out exactly where it was, and Google is suggesting that I meant "lifehouse" instead of "firehose," and that just has me so damned depressed that I think I need a drink). So, yeah, I'm voting for Minutemen.
