Here's what I think the web shooter mechanic will encompass.
1) Characters with web shooters will have a :star: that says "This character possesses a web shooter."
2) I think the web shooter mechanic will be focused on limiting the number of ranged combat attacks that they can make. It has always been a standard comic book melodrama -- will Spidey run out of web fluid in the middle of a battle?
3) I predict that any web shooter figure will have to add a "web shooter token" to the character card every time they make a ranged attack. Then every time the character with the web shooter attempts to make a ranged combat attack, they must roll over the number of tokens on the card. If they roll even to or below the number of tokens, then the web shooter is out of fluid and that character can no longer make ranged attacks. If the character makes the roll (higher than the number of tokens), the character can make the ranged combat attack and then must add another token to the card.
NOW, it could be something else... maybe a web shooter grants the :m-boot-trans: symbol or something, who knows. But whenever I think of web shooters, the iconic moment to me is "Will Spidey run out of fluid mid-swing, mid-attack..." So I hope the mechanic captures that feel.
