If I have The Flash run up to somebody, attempt to hit them but roll snake eyes, do I take the one damage immediately or do I take it after I finished my hypersonic movement?

I would say at the end of the move, but I could be wrong.

I'm not 100%, but I think that when you miss, your attack ends, so yes, you take the damage.

GR,
I guess that it would work like Flurry where it would happen immediately (even if it's still in the middle of the action).
Too bad that they didn't clear up these timing issues in the last FAQ, it's not like they had 3 months to do so! :(

I figured that since you're using hyperspeed that even though you missed, your attack isnt over untill you finish your move,i.e hit and run.

The FAQ isn't needed to clear this up, as it is in the original rulebook definition of a critical miss---the damage is taken immediately, and if the figure loses HSS because of this damage then he is stuck in whatever square he used to make his attack.
Brokensaint, he's talking about the hit-and-run HSS attack, not the pummeling HSS attack. Doubles/missing ending the attack is only relevant for the repetitive attack.
four_winds, remember that the action for this use of HSS is a movement action. At one point during the movement an attack may be made, but that attack is contained within a single square of the figure's movement. The attack both begins and ends in that square, ending the move ends the action, but is unrelated to the attack.

ok, since Flash has the JLA ability, can he use HSS freely and attack without using up the allotted action total? in a 200 point game, for instance, i announce i m using the JLA free ability and using the HSS then hit someone and run away, and STILL have 2 actions?
Negative, the free move team abilities are ONLY for movement, not for any other actions that include attacks or other abilities.
