tho still really broken, if firelord were made as human torch* would anyone be somewhat elated? as a big johnny storm fan growing up, i'd hafta admit i'd rather see him dominating the board than FL...

*that is to say, that human torch would be made as firelord too... swapping of stats and all that...

I know what you mean. I didn't even know who Firelord was before I played this game. I mean everyone knows who Johny Storm is. I agree that they should switch stats, cept for Johny should keep Running Shot.

Doesn't work. Firelord is like a god, and should be powerful. Human Torch shouldn't be that powerful. It would make less sense that way...

Too true. Firelord SHOULD be a whole lot more powerful than Johnny Storm. Firelord wields the power cosmic. Torch should maybe be a bit more powerful than he is, but not Firelord's level.

If Firelord were as expensive to play as he should be, then Johnny would come into his own as an affordable alternative. That's how it should have been, but wishing gets us nowhere. Firelord's here and he's not going away. What I regret is, I liked Firelord from the comics. It saddens me that I can't play a character I like and would play regardless without feeling cheesy.

2.) Take Firelord off his base.
3.) Put Human Torch figure on Firelord base.

I've been reading comics for over thirty years, and with the exception of the occasional desperate oomph of his "Nova Blast", I've never seen the Human Torch do anything very impressive (on a comicbook level). He's never really beaten any tough foes one on one, but I've seen a lot of saps (Paste Pot Pete, Tarantula) make complete fools out of Johnny. If anything, his character is overpowered.

Firelord is properly represented as a cosmic being, and is not overpowered. He may be undercosted, but that's another debate. He is definitely NOT overpowered.

Truth to tell, Firelord should start out as Invunerable with toughness the rest of the way. Spidey beating the spark out of him aside, here's a guy that flies near suns in the sub zero cold of space.

What would solve the Firelord problem once and for all is to create a new superhero:

Aquatic: of course

Fire Department Team Ability: Whenever this character is 10 squares away from any fire related character (Firelord, Pyro, etc.) their abilities are void.

Funny you should mention Flaming Jesus because I was gonna shave the flames off of him, cut off his head and then stick Aquaman's head on his body. You can't tell me that wouldn't look close. That's too funny. I always thought he was one of the weakest yet very powerful heroes in Marvel. It was as if everyone they face always has an immunity or counter to fire.
