Which top 30 Characters make it to W.O.S ?

Thought i'd discuss which Characters make it to 'Web of Spiderman' in my humble opinion!

30 CYBER Highly doubt it (Prob in next set - my guess is its a MUTANT theme)

29 Squirell Girl She' very popular so i reckon YES to this one!

28 Kree sentry To go with previous HOT ability ...i say YES

27 Unicorn With Iron Man so popular i'd say highly likely!

26 Black Mamba i like her but 'serpents' are no longer 'IN' so NO!

25 Melter We've seen several 'Naff' 60's villains - i'll say YES!

24 Whiplash He's in I.M. 2 so its gotta be YES!

23 Groot already confirmed, i believe so -YES!

22 Brother Voodoo i'd go YES on this one!

21 Onslaught i reckon he's a NO!

20 Vulcan posssible either way - big role in War of kings i say YES! he's in WOS!

19 Martinex I'd love this! Alas i think its a NO!

18 Charlie 27 .....see above!

17 Exodus Hmmmm ......i say YES!

16 Batroc the Leaper Again i doubt hes in - NO!

15 Nitro We've had Speedball and Pennance and it ties in to recent events- i say YES!

14 Siryn Next set i reckon......

13 Rictor Seee above....

12 Sphinx Oh wow i would love this one ....but i think we will have to wait a bit longer so NO!

11 U-Foes THESE are a definite lock i reckon, each set gives us a complete group and this is the most popular unmade group so far! It also fits with spidey so a big YES!

10 Diamondback Tricky but i think she will appear in this set!

9 Daimon Hellstrom Maybe its the 'unholy' connection that has meant the long wait for this one....but they gave us Mephisto so i say he's probably in !

8 Dracula i could see him in a horror themed set or to coincide with the relaunch of Horrorclix so maybe not quite this set....alas

7 Darkstar The most popular unmade female character - but i cant see her making this set.

6 Ch'od Seriously long overlooked BUT who really wants him in WOS?

5 Morg Most popular Herald, i can't see him being made for WOS though!

4 King Cobra He's fought Spidey so its about time lets hope he's in!

3 Werewolf by Night I reckon he could be in WOS !

2 Chamaeleon SERIOUSLY if he isn't in this set then WHEN? he must be a lock YES!

1 Tiger shark the all time popular unmade character, i reckon he'll get in this time!

Well, it certainly isn't my top 30. :)

Uhmmm... I'll play, I guess.

30) Cyber- Connected neither to Spider-man nor anything relevant in comics today (has he been relevant at any time in the past ten years?). A big, fat NO.

29) Squirell Girl- Another irrelevant character. Has a following, though, for whatever reason. I still have to say NO.

28) Kree Sentry- I would like to say yes, and actually did until I did a count before finalizing the post, but there is only so much room in the set and Kree Sentries don't really fit, as much as I might wish it otherwise. NO :( .

27) Unicorn- Iron Man may be popular, but Unicorn is a b- or c-grade villain, and hasn't had the benefit of a movie or any big comic stories that I am aware of. If this was an Iron Man themed set, I would say yes, but in a Spidey set, he gets a NO.

26) Black Mamba- Not only is the character not relevant, but her team basically got blacklisted. Maybe some day, but for Spidey she gets a NO.

25) Melter- I want to say yes here, but why should I? Again, if it were an Iron Man set he would be practically automatic, but here he gets a NO.

24) Whiplash- A third Iron Man villain, but unlike the other two, he has a movie and a cameo on the Wizkids site, so he gets an easy YES.

23) Groot- Well, confirmed is confirmed, so YES.

22) Brother Voodoo- Seems to be getting a push from Marvel. I am not so sure about what he did during Siege or Dark Reign, though (I do not really read comics anymore just occasional trades or hardcovers that catch my eye). I will give him a YES, though.

21) Onslaught- Maybe in a mutant set. maybe. NO.

20) Vulcan- If this had a War of Kings tie-in I would feel more confident, as he would be all but guaranteed in that case. I haven't read the story yet, and maybe the character has potential beyond it, but if he is pretty much done, then I can't see them letting him fall off the radar, either. I think next set, maybe. NO.

19) Martinex- It is too bad that the GotG got the treatment that it did, but as much as I would like to see Marty, I can't figure out why he should be in the set. NO :(.

18) Charlie 27- Sadly, Chuck is in the same boat that Marty is, along with Nikki. NO :( .

17) Exodus- Just another mutant-centric character that doesn't belong in this set. NO.

16) Batroc the Leaper- If this is like Sinister: Part II, then I can see it. He doesn't have much to do with Spidey or the sub-themes, though... NO.

15) Nitro- Has some connection to the Dark Reign storyline... I give him a YES.

14) Siryn- A lot of mutants here... NO.

13) Rictor- This is a top 30 character? Really? NO.

12) Sphinx- I wish. NO. :(

11) U-Foes- Why do these guys count as a character? There are four of them? Yeah. they are a set, but still, it just bothers me when people list their top ten characters and pass these four off as one.
Anyway, there is a window of opportunity here, so I hope that they find their way into the set. I need some more stuff to fill up my draft list. YES :).

10) Diamondback- Top ten? Really? Well, there is room for her thematically, but is there room in reality? I am leaning NO.

9) Daimon Hellstrom- I would like to see him, but I can't make a connection here. Maybe next time. NO.

8) Dracula- Uhmmm... NO.

7) Darkstar- A quick review over on Wikipedia (where I decided to go to see if a character is connected to any of the set themes if I didn't know) reveals that she is becoming quite the convoluted little character... Shame, really. She may be top 7, but people could be voting for one of three different people, so she may come in quite a bit lower if, for example, she lacks the Champions keyword because it is the most recent version that gets made.
Anyway, I don't see it happening for any version of the character. NO.

6) Ch'od- And why would we get Ch'od here? NO.

5) Morg- Long neglected, but I do not think that I can say too long, because I don't see him coming here, either. NO :( .

4) King Cobra- Well, here is someone that has fought Spider-Man but is hardly a classic Spider-Man foe. He is involved with the Dark Reign story, but not in a major way. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say YES, figuring that in this case quantity may overcome quality because the character has really been overlooked for too long.

3) Werewolf by Night- He has no place here. NO.

2) Chameleon- He first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #1. He is a classic Spider-Man foe that has yet to be made in Heroclix. I say YES with the utmost of confidence.

1) Tiger Shark- He has a Dark Reign tie-in, and his combination of age (he will be 42 around the time of WoS) and importance in terms of appearances should push him over the top. YES.

So that is eight that got a yes vote, 11 characters once you break up the U-Foes. :cool:

and i included the U-Foes as a set because that's what they are and unlike Wizkids treatment of the 'Wrecking Crew' Neca gave us Agents of Atlas and warriors 3 with all members intact!

So i hope we get all 4 u-Foes together in WOS (though i suspect Vapor will be SR, Ironclad Common, X-Ray uncommon and Vector Rare)!

Squirrel Girl would be cool - I'd keep everyone that I pulled from a booster. And, as much as I'd love to see Groot and the remaining members of the GotG (especially the founding members) I just don't think its gonna happen. We got a great selection of the Guardians in HoT, I just don't see Wizkids going back to that well so soon with soooo many other great characters and teams needing representation.

25 Melter - needs to be made and hopefully in WotS.

24 Whiplash - I gotta say yes because of Iron Man 2, WK has to capitalize on the movie.

23 Groot - I haven't seen where he's been confirmed but I would love to see him in the set.

22 Brother Voodoo - with the push he's been getting becoming Sorc Supreme, its a good bet.

21 Onslaught - no matter how much I want to see him made WotS isn't the place for him

20 Vulcan - another one that I want to see made but not in this set.

19 Martinex - probably not

18 Charlie 27 - again probably not

17 Exodus - like Onslaught and Vulcan, not in this set.

16 Batroc the Leaper -possibly

15 Nitro - about time the catalyst for Civil War is made.

14 Siryn - see previous mutants

13 Rictor - see previous mutants

12 Sphinx - NO

11 U-Foes - most likely

10 Diamondback - I'd like to see her but I don't know

9 Daimon Hellstrom -a slight chance but probably in a future set. Maybe a Supernatural/Magic themed set?

5 Morg - the only herald besides Red Shift to never be made as far as I know, but this isn't the set for him.

4 King Cobra - I think he makes it along with some generic cobras

2 Chamaeleon - I think there is no chance in hell that he is not in this set.

1 Tiger shark - considering Attuma was made in SI theres a strong chance he makes it into this set.
