ok this is going to be pretty basic but just bored and curious what the masses think. The subject is none other than:
Nova, the Human Rocket (aka: richard rider)
Movement:10 10 9 8 7 6 5
Attack: 9 9 8 8 8 8 7
Defence: 16 16 15 14 13 12 11
Damage: 3 2 2 2 1 1 1

Powers-n-Reason
Flight:
ummm...human rocket and all...seems pretty straight forward to me.
Super Strength (first 3 clicks)
rich has been known to whip the big stuff around on occasion when facing off against big time tough opponents.
Toughness (first 5 clicks)
he resistant to damage but not invulnerable...
Charge (all the way down)
first thing rich usually does is slam head long into his opponents via a move-through versus pulling up short to 'sock' them. when he hits it's usually after going full tilt at some one...and this accounts for the 3 clicks of damage for the beginning click of damage... charge all the way down because he has knocked himself out numerous times when he should have regrouped, he's a bit of a 'hot-head' in combat.

Nova has also demonstrated other abilities but they are either impossible to do via hero clix rules at present time (aka: energy absorption/redirection) or he has not established enough control over them to justify their inclusion (aka: gravimetric pulse) in addition, he would not be part of a team and the above stat line would be his veteran version if done r/e/v or his unique if no r/e/v

thoughts???

Sounds pretty good to me. :)

Now all I have to do is make the dial.....

How about a few clicks of hypersonic speed?

Cool, but I don't think you really wan't charge for every click.

First of all, noone keeps powers like that for every click. It's just unprecidented. Secondly, when you start to price the figure (using either of the main point formulas) he will be way too expensive due to all those clicks of charge.

actually, Doctor...

i believe both wolverine and sabretooth keep BCF their entire lives, and the good Doctor himself keeps phasing for pretty much his entire dial (save a click or two in the middle)

i dunno, charge all the way down seems cool.

That is very true. My bad, I should have been more clear.. I mean't powers like Running Shot and Charge. Unique Flash is the only character I know of that keeps a move and attack power for every click. Any rate.. I was just trying to help keep the point cost reasonable.

...as I don't have any of the point cost programs out there I am unsure of the cost and I was generating the stats off what I felt would be a good representation.

Charge
given the concerns about his charge all the way down his dial I would then have it drop off after 4/5 clicks. personally I would rather keep it all the way down and precedents will happen eventually...why not on a home made dial versus waiting for an "official" precedent?

Hypersonic
not a fan of this one for rich...he was quick but not like flash or quicksilver. do to this charge fit him much better, imo.

Super Strength
change it to the frst two clicks only...was thinking a bit more about this last night and believe it would better that it drop off sooner.

I like it! I would like to see Mr. Rider in a future set, just not too far in the future!

in all honesty I actually doubt that Nova will ever make it the world of heroclix. to bad really, but then he never had a huge following...larsen was his biggest proponent within marvel hence Nova's short lived third solo series...

with this in mind I will continue to use my converted model...

ok...bored and curious...how many points would my Nova be given the following stat line:

Nova, the Human Rocket (aka: rich rider)
M:10ch 10ch 9ch 8ch 7ch 6 5
A:9ss 9ss 8ss 8 8 8 7
D:16t 16t 15t 14t 13t 12 11
D:3 2 2 2 1 1 1

range: 0

ch = charge
ss = super strength
t = toughness

he is currently running solo and I would consider this a unique version. rich, while he has been around awhile has for the most part remained pretty static in overall power levels...thank you in advance :)

so...for you people with the ole "point programs" how much would he be???
