View Full Version : White powers that replace feats

We've received many figs that have a white power that is the same as (or functionally similar to) abilities granted by Feat cards. Here are a couple (by no means a complete list, just several great examples):
Maneuver = Robin (BatB)
Ra's Al Ghul = Lazarus pit
Batman (AA)= ICWO
Professor X = Brilliant Tactician
Mam Marie = Opportunist
Dr. Strange = Trick Shot (actually better because he can outwit with EOA)
the Flashes = Sidestep (Better because its anywhere on the map)
I like where this is going and I'd like to see more uses of this. Here are a couple of ideas:
[B]Swarm = Damage Shield
Killer Bees:
Swarm can use super senses. If Swarm is successfully hit by an close combat attack, the target is dealt one click of damage.
Spot = Vault
Demensional Portals:
After the resolution of a Close Combat attack by Spot, he may be placed in any square in which he may legally be placed adjacent to a target of the action at the same elevation as the target.
Deadpool = Taunt
Merc with a mouth:
Give Deadpool a power action; He makes a ranged combat attack targeting a single opposing character to which he has clear line of fire within 6 squares. If the attack succeeds, it deals no damage. The target must either attempt to move adjacent to or attack Deadpool next turn.
Chameleon = Getaway
Master of disguise:
Chameleon may use Mastermind. Following the resolution of an attack in which Chameleon uses Mastermind, Chameleon can immediately break away automatically and move 1 square for each damage that was dealt to a friendly character via that use of Mastermind.
So what do you think? Post feedback and any Feats into White Powers ideas you'd like to see.

Good choices there, sir!

I think "built-in" is a better term than "replace". I'd hate for the game to lose its versatility altogether.
I think pretty much every Flash should have...
The Flash = Armor Piercing.
Speed Force: The Flash can use Hypersonic Speed. When he does, damage dealt by the Flash cannot be reduced below 1.

A couple of obvious ones...
Green Lantern = Construct
Constructs: Green Lantern can use Barrier. When an opposing character adjacent to a barrier marker placed by Green Lantern attempts to move, the opposing character must attempt to break away. This effect ignores all other effects that allow a character to break away automatically.
Wolverine = Automatic Regeneration
Uncharted Healing Factor: Once per turn, Wolverine can use Regeneration as a free action.
And a few others...
Deadpool = Mercenary
Gun for Hire: Before the first round of the game, choose a friendly character that is not a wild card and possesses a team ability that can be copied by wild cards. Deadpool can use the chosen team ability until the end of the game.
Captain America = Inspiring Command
Charismatic Leader: Adjacent friendly characters are not dealt pushing damage when given a second action token.
Longshot = Lucky Break
Lucky: Once per turn, when Longshot makes an attack roll, if the result on either of the two dice is a 1, you may reroll one die before determining the attack roll result.

Deadshot (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/blog.php?b=2569) = Spotter
Covering Fire: When another friendly character makes a ranged combat attack against a target opposing figure, modify the friendly character's attack value by +1 if Deadshot has a clear line of fire to the target and the target is within Deadshot's range.
