View Full Version : At last ...Green Lantern KC

I just got a Green Lantern KC and I read alot about this figurine. So I just built this team ...what do you think ?

Green Lantern KC (225 pts)
+ Thrickshot (20 pts)
+ protected (8pts)

3 X Wiccan (54 pts)
+ tunderbolts( 3 X 5pts = 15 pts)

Batgirl (70 pts)

TOTAL = 500 pts

So, WIccan with the THUNDERBOLTS feat got the Batman Stealth TA and protect GREEN LANTERN. With the Wiccans...I can travel a lot and I got +3 enchancment and I can protect Green Lantern while I putmy Wiccan around Green Lantern..to protect him while Wiccans are in stealth mode.. And Green Lantern could get a 9 clix of dmg...while Batgirl try to annoyed the opponants. Is that a good team idea?

We still follow the rule of 3. KC GL can't generate more than 7 damage. While it's also good that you have 3x enhancement, you might get more out of wildcards that can perplex or prob. Or maybe have some wildcard close combat support for GL himself.

I understand what you meant with the rules of three but I didn't see the rule that specify that a figurine can't generate more then 7 dmg. Is it a special rule or I'm blind:confused: Since I'm not a veteran YET in the rules but I'm will get there....one day..I hope:).....Can you tell me the source of this rule. I do not have the book in front of me since I'm at work now .....

4 Damage base. + 2 for RCE. That means , by the rule of 3, you can only modify his damage by one more to 7.

In other words the 'rule of 3' covers all modifiers, RCE included.

If you can get the pieces, one of my all time favorite 600 point teams was
KC GL + ICwO
V io Superman + ICwO + Protected
Oracle on card
E io Raven

First turn, give Supes Outwit
Second turn, use Raven's barrier to protect the team while Supes rests.
Third turn, TK Supes out, then Outwit their big gun's defense and HSS attack with a heavy object, and try to take cover. If people get too close to GL, blast the tar out of them. If Supes takes some serious damage, push Raven to support.

I have rocked KC GL with ICwO with the Alpha version on the card and trick shot. Hey look at that 22 Def cuz of ES/D. As for the rest of the team.

KC GL - 225
Trick Shot - 20
ICwO - 10

BN The Atom - 65
ICwO - 10

BA Oracle - 50

That right there is 370, all you would need to do is get a Close combat oriented piece to protect GL from getting based and maybe an Outwit-er.

Ok ..now I understand the rules of 3. Whaterver the source of the bonus..I can't get more than a +3. I didn't undestand the rules that way. I tought that a figurine can get bonus no higher than +3 if the bonus came from other figurines. Now I understand the rules.

I have another question. What is the meaning of ICwO? Sorry for this stupid question ... but I'm not already familiar with all the terms....yet.:ermm:

It is a confusing feat that mixed with Oracle, you can give anyone any of either of the two different Oracles' powers. Also, they can have a self perplex at the same time. It is much more complicated than that (you have to do a power action to get the power, and only one person can have the power at a time)

Utilize the 20 defense of GL and Sidekick somebody. Doesn't matter who. For 10 points, it is a great card for GL. My favorite is FF Vet Hawkeye.

Congratulations on getting a KC Green Lantern! I just got one myself after five years... I still haven't had a chance to play it yet.

However, I will say this -- what was once KC Green Lantern's ultimate power -- that natural 20 defense -- isn't as effective as it used to be in today's game. Hitting a 20 or 21 isn't impossible anymore, with all the ways there are to modify stats in the current game. And once GL can be hit for a few, his stats plummet.

So don't think that you can just park out in the open and rain destruction down on people... you'll still want to protect GL as much as you can from your opponent's best figures.

Uhm, then why can KC supes get +4 to his damage from holding two objects?

Edit: Sorry I forgot that he makes two separate attacks with flurry. I get it now. My bad!

i remember when we didn't have a rule of 3. dark phoenix tore bizarro a new ### hole...perplexed damage to like 12 from a base damage of 7

Ok...what do you think of this ...now that I have follow some of your suggestions :

Green Lantern (225 pts)
+ Trickshot (20 pts)
+Protected (8pts)


Wiccan
+ Thunderbolts (5 pts)

Hawkeye (73 pts)
+ Sidekick to Green Lantern (10 pts)

Huntress (18pts)

Iron Fist (70pts)

Gotham Undercover (14 pts)

Total = 497 pts

Iron FIst and Wiccan will copy the BATMAN TA. Wiccan, Huntress, Gotham Undercover and Hawkeye will always be besides Green Lantern while Iron Fist will teach lesson to opponent. So their is a possibility of 7 clic of dmg for GL (with the enhancement from Wiccan) and a 6 clic of dmag for Hawkeye....With Wiccan, their is Probability Control on the second clix on the dial. The Gotham Undercover can get to Hawkeye and GL a +1 to AV.

So, is this a respectable team ?
I would loved to play with Oracle, Destiny or/and Superman..but I don't have them.
