Best theme for a new Marvel Heroclix action pack?

Guardians of the Galaxy. We already got a lot of these in the last set but a lot more could be done. A One-Who-Knows with Dangers white power. All of the older GotG. Heck even a knew Thanos. Not to mention all of the other cosmic guys out there like Ctuluverse versions of the Avengers as Chase. Ooops didn't see it was for an action pack. Still my vote though.

I think you mean "Secret Wars" because "Secret War" was the one where Nick Fury got a bunch of heroes to go to Latveria and attack the chick who was ruling in Doom's place. The Beyonder wasn't in it.

If "Secret Wars" had been a choice I would have voted for it. I think it would make a great starter set, complete with a Battleworld map.

I voted AoA. We've already got a handful of AoA pieces, so why not release a set to fill them out a bit (particularly since we probably won't get too many more in future sets, at least not with any consistency)?

A new Darkhawk, a Nova Prime that rocks, Cosmo, a GotG Mantis, a new Blaastaar, a new Thanos (w/Skreet), a modern Drax the Destroyer, Annihilation wave drones (2x), and maybe a 'Nova corps Centurion' that could have multiple sculpts that different boxes would each come with only one.

You could even sub in guys like Maelstrom, a new Quasar (Wendell), a 'sorcerous' Adam Warlock/Magus...

I find it funny that every time this poll is done, AoA wins by alot, yet we have like 2 or 3 AoA characters. I read AoA, It was good, and if they would make a collectors set like Watchmen, (there would be no need for duos) we would have an incredible set.

Are we using "action pack" as in Classics re-releases? Or more of a starter set like the new Blackest Night/Brightest Day ones?

If it's just a classics 3-pack, I'd totally say Age of Apocalypse, because people seem to really want that and would buy the heck out of it (Personally, I don't think folks ought to be nostalgic for '90s X-Men comics: AoA was nothing but mullets and giant muscles to me).

If they did something akin to the bigger Iron Man pack that's in stores now, I'd say Secret Wars (I too mistakenly voted for the dumb Bendis one). We already have Classics packs of the FF and Doom, throw in Klaw, Molecule Man, Monica Rambeau, She-Hulk, Ultron, a black-suited Spidey... It could be really fun. I'd also say the Wrecking Crew, Titania, and Volcana, but they'd likely all need new dials for people to actually use 'em.

They could also do a Classics set of the Exiles... Most of those characters are still VERY playable: Blink, Longshot, Spider-Man 2099, Mimic, Power Princess, etc. Also, they could finally give E Saquatch the right keywords.

However, if they're gonna' make a LoSH-style starter set, it's gotta' be Nextwave. GOTTA' BE NEXTWAVE.

Second place: X-Statix, or Captain Britain and MI-13.

Or a general "Annihilation, Conquest, and War/Realm of Kings" cosmic-y set giving us Nova Prime, plus all the other characters that haven't been represented yet (though I still have high hopes for some of them, since we got Ultron and the GotG in Hammer of Thor, and we're told there's a Groot in Web of Spider-Man).

I think it'd also be pretty neat for an Imperial Guard team, maybe include The Starjammers. Or just a flat-out War of Kings pack, that way you could include Vulcan and Black Bolt. There seriously needs to be a first Vulcan heroclick before we do any more doubles, for God's sake!

I was a huge fan of AoA back when I purchased it new. I still think it would be a great set, but I voted Secret Avengers, also, because I'd love to see some of those characters remade:

Hmm I guess it's something I've forgotten, it's been about a year since I picked them up. I have all four epic books myself along with the 10th anniversary add on. Another year or so once I've forgotten more of it I'll go through and read it again like it's new. :)

It's amazing to me that the popularity of the Marvel Zombies is still so high after their debut five years ago. I expect AoA to do well (it always does) in these types of polls but seeing Marvel Zombies in at the second most desired set is a big surprise. I happen to have all of the MZ HC editions on my shelf, and enjoy the storyline, but I would never have voted for that option.

Lots of great suggestions from people for the "other" category. Some of these I considered using (Supreme Power, Alpha Flight, Exiles) but went with ones that I thought were real possibilities, only. Sometimes favorite groups/storylines just aren't popular in the mass market, but I think all of these I listed would be familiar enough to attract buyers who aren't players.

X-Factor Investigations would be my first choice. Second would be AoA just because I doubt we'd ever see many more of the characters all in one pack. I wouldn't mind a current X-Force pack either.

As I always do when I see a poll with this as an option, I cast vote #143 for the Age of Apocalypse! Behind the Infinity Gauntlet, the AoA is probably my favorite comic story of all time. It would have to have these as, IMO, the main foci of the storyline:

Nate Grey (my favorite character for over a decade)
Apocalypse (yes, the M&M version was nasty, but just imagine this one!)
Sinister (been WAY too long waiting for another one)
Holocaust
Blink (with a Darkseid-level 'porting SP)
Sabretooth and Wild Child (would almost definitely have to be a duo, given how attached they were in the story, literally)
Sugar Man or Jubilee (Either would be fine. Although not really a "main" character, a super-charged Jubilee just calls out to me. :grin: )

A VERY close third would be Maximum Carnage. But it looks like we don't have to wait too much longer for that, given the early reveal of Doppleganger for WoS.
