No he would not. The damage is not from an attack.

When this character takes damage from an attack, the attacker takes 1 damage. This damage is not an attack.


A critical miss is not an attack. So, no, Mystics would not take any damage.

About the only way I can think of for a Mystic to Mystic itself would be to catch itself in its own EE attack.

Just like a Mystic would not take feedback damage from pushing itself.
