Shadowpact ideas?

I got my hands on a Vet. Blue Devil and like him so much I'm inspired to go Shadowpact.

I did a search for any articles like the Midnight Sons one from some time back (you know the one? Keyword team ideas plus comic accurate ideas) but couldn't find one.

Anyone have any suggestions for builds? I need to track down and buy any other characters and want an educated idea of who to get before I spend :)

Well you have Detective Chimp pog, Nightshade, Ragman, Enchantress, Phantom Stranger (wasn't on team but helped from time to time), Zauriel (replaced Blue Devil for a while) to name a few that have been clixed.

And of course if you use the Units section and look up Keywords you get this list:

And though he doesn't have the keyword, you can also add Zauriel.

If having a keyword based theme team isn't an issue (and you don't mind mixing universes), the E or V Bron from the Indy set is a pretty good stand-in for Nightmaster.

It's not a keyword theme, but this is what my core Shadowpact team generally looks like:

Arisia (Nightshade sub (http://mods.flatmatt.com/?page=dc/nightshade.html)) = 103

V Enchantress = 75

E Bron (Nightmaster sub (http://mods.flatmatt.com/?page=dc/nightmaster.html)) = 49

That was what I used for a while before Arkham Asylum gave us Nightshade, whose Clix incarnation is way underpowered compared to the comics in my opinion. That said, I have played the team with that Nightshade. Here's a 500-point team based on when they paired up with Captain Marvel to fight the Spectre (still not a theme team):

E Shazam! (Origin) = 157
V Blue Devil = 100
V Enchantress = 75
V Ragman = 58
Nightshade = 50
E Bron (Nightmaster sub (http://mods.flatmatt.com/?page=dc/nightmaster.html)) = 49
BST Detective Chimp = 5
Total: 494

You could also free up a little feat space by trying the Captain Marvel half of the B&tB Black Adam/Shazam! duo if you have it.

Or you could just the rookie Shazam and shave off a lot of points and he is loads better than the exp. That and he has a longer dial than the BatB duo version.

Yeah, but I don't like playing a team with more than a couple points left over. R Shazam! leaves me at 442 points, and even if I used my full 50 points of feats (and I hate to spend that many points on feats regardless), I'm still 8 points short.

Now, I did once have the idea to use one of the Destiny figures to represent the Phantom Stranger turned into a mouse from that time period, so perhaps that's a way to go with R Shazam!

sorry I was just thinking he wanted a team that was thematic and competitive at the same time. Plus if shazam still has to be activated, and then only has one click of hypersonic until later in the dial.

And if he wanted to play "that kind of team", he'd just run the vet and be done with it. ;)

Looks good to me. You have good attackers, good support and the mystics and crossgen team abilities should make fighting them a handful.

Tote the monkey around with Enchantress to better have the opportunity to use her SS TA if necessary.

I like this team a lot; Zauriel really helps out Blue Devil in the offense department.

Phantom Stranger - 171
Not as competitive as the above team, but arguably more fun, with the E version of Blue Devil providing some always-handy PC, and Phantom Stranger can be very, very annoying to your opponent - as can Nightshade with Flashbang to get in one surprise shot of poison smoke cloud that your opponent may have thought he was out of range of.

I've never been big on using subs for unmade characters, so until they make a Nightmaster figure, my teams will just have him back at the Oblivion Bar, trying to oust control from Flippy...

At this point you could slap Pounce on Rags for the quick alpha strike, or go more defensive with Camo on Enchantress (dropping lunge on BD and with an alias for points) or go for board control with AP and flashbang on Nightshade with a lunge on BD or Rags.

It doesn't look like it should work very well but Shadowpact are supposed to be the underdogs anyway, and these pieces are all full of surprises that make the team a bit more playable than you'd think.

I'm really excited for the extra options in DC75.

If you wanted to skip using Nightshade you could add Black Alice and Zauriel and use the Mystics keyword to get a theme team.

I just did some units section research, and There's a pretty viable 600 point team going on, not keyworded but whatever:

V Blue Devil 100
V Enchantress 75
V Ragman 58
Nightshade 50
Detective Chimp 62
Nightmaster 69
Phantom Stranger 171
Total 585
That's room for Pounce on Ragman or it comes to 591 with the new ATA

Or you could go with
Nightmaster 69
V Enchantress 75
V Ragman 58
Zauriel 117
E Blue Devil 76
Detective Chimp pog 5
Total 400, Mystical keyword theme bonus
If you want to use the ATA, drop the chimp and it brings you to 398, with Zauriel and Blue Devil not being able to use it.

Total 490 points with the ATA on all but Blue Devil. Not keyword themed, but E Blue Devil and Black Alice both give PC. Double Outwit, too, with Black Alice and the Chimp.
Lots of options for 10 points of feats here... I think I'd put Double Time on Nightshade and Lunge on Ragman.
