If it is one on one, Thor, in almost any version.

Consider that Darkseid cannot fly. Thor can snipe Darkseid from elevated terrain

Toe to toe, it is Darkseid, hands down. Psychic Blast and outwit will take out Invulnerability and Running Shot. Hit Thor for 3 and he is past running shot leaving SS or Invuln. to outwit.

If you are able to maneuver Thor effectively, his Running Shot and +2 range will kill off Darkseid easily.

No contest, Darkseid whomps Thor without working up so much as a light prespiration. :)

First, if Thor isn't behind blocking terrain, try to move Darkseid into range and outwit Thor's running shot. If Thor starts behind blocking terrain or Darkseid can't get close enough, move Darkseid to just outside of Thor's running shot range (14) and wait for him to move up.

After Thor moves a bit, if he's in outwit range, outwit running shot and clear his action token. If Thor is within DK's 8 range, use psychic blast to hit him for 3 that's not reduced by invulnerability. That takes Thor off of his 4 damage, so even if Thor's hit gets past DK's Impervious, DK will still only take 1 (Impervious reduces by 2).

Overall, the advantage is clearly with Darkseid. Outwit and Psychic Blast will do in the Mighty Thor, while Impervious will make it nigh impossible for Thor to knock Darkseid off of even his Psychic Blast clicks, let alone his outwit. And if crit happens, and Thor gets lucky and gets to take Darkseid off of his Outwit, then Darkseid just gets Ranged Combat Expert.

I like Thor, but please. This one is just no contest.

Actually it really depends on a lot of factors. First off, they both have potential to KO each other. Imperviousness, while good, isn't 100% reliable. Yes, it does work from time to time, but in the end you're going to take damage. Also, depending on what Thor does will depend on what Darkseid can/can't do.

Outside map, Thor can position himself to where he is soaring and the theory about being able to outwit running shot is pretty moot unless you really get into Thor's range and if Thor is positioned correctly, Darkseid may not be able to get within 5 squares. So Thor can swoop down and try to get the first shot in.

Also, if Thor lands in hindering terrain, his defense goes up by one and now Darkseid needs an 8 to hit him. While not that hard to make, it does give Thor a good chance of not getting hit.

That and Thor can pick up an object while he's doing a running shot just in case he either loses damage of 3/4 or if Darkseid goes b2b. He can always throw a heavy object for 3 points and still damage darkseid in case he has imperviousness still.

It'd be a good battle, though. Really depends on the rolls. Darkseid's advantage is he has psychic blast and outwit for a few clicks and then gets RCE and/or superstrength. Could go either way.
