While the tourney drew to a close, Mon-El and Spoon engaged me in a Contest of Titans scenario. If you don't know, you get 5 figures of ANY point value and 3 moves. No point caps.
Mon-El had V Ultron, V Doom, U Nightcrawler, V Thor and V Strange. Spoon got U Spiral, U Moondragon, U Nightmare, V Blastar and V Thing. Now I didn't know it was gonna be all Marvel or I would have switched my lineup, but they said to go ahead and bring it on: 300 Point Sentinel, 300 point Sinestro Construct, E Doomsday, U Darkseid, Our Worlds at War Annihilus [you know who on you know who's base]. It was an out and out slaughter. From the get go it was Mon-El and Spoon against me. Darkseid took control of Doom to Energy Explosion his own cluster of men. Before the end Spiral and Nightmare were captured and locked away. Sinestro and the Sentinel were the MVP's.
I'd lke to compliment both players on being good sports and stroking my ego. They could have quit when I hadn't lost any figures and they were losing, but they kept playing because they knew how much I enjoy capturing figures, and it was a real blast!
The DC figures had the real advantage over the Marvel. In retrospect, i would have chosen Super Skrull, Nightmare, and V Kang over the C characters.
