Here's the scenario - Friendly game last night, and we choose to use a Marvel map (DC characters....hope posting here is right) The map is the one that's like a warehouse, with boxes stacked up inside, surrounded by the thick black line. I chose a 200 pt Team that had a Vet Flash (good for scooting around those boxes, hitting and running, plus he had Outwit), a Vet Nightwing and an Exp. Huntress, both for their range combat and Leap Climb.

Questions -

1. Are the boxes elevated and fair game for the Leap/Climbers, or are they just blocking, i.e. the boxes are stacked to the ceiling? We used them as elevated, and Nightwing was able to do major damage from up there.

2. Huntress, by a fool act of mine, moved right into range of my friends RCE while on top of the boxes, and took a critical hit, so she sustained 3 clicks, plus 1 for critical and was knocked off the boxes, which added 2 clicks, KOing her. Is this correct, or does Leap/Climb negate the falling off of elevated terrain damage? (Even if this was supposed to be blocking and not elevated, if she was knocked off of elevated on another map, what's the answer?)

3. A character with no range combat, but with super strength can throw a heavy object for a range of 4. Is this halved if the target is on elevated terrain?

I think that's all. We had fun, and my opponents lack of thinking when choosing his team left him vulnerable to my leap climbers on this map, using our interpretation of the terrain.

1) I think I know which map you are talking about. This is an Indoor map. There is no Elevated terrain on an Indoor map. Therefore, the boxes are considered to go all the way up to the ceiling.

2) Ignoring the fact that this is on an Indoor map.... a figure with Leap/Climb will still take 2 clicks of damage for falling from Elevated terrain to Grounded terrain caused be knockback. The only figures that can ignore this damage are figures with Flight.

3) The Range for throwing objects is not halved for throwing between elevations (I.E. Elevated to Grounded or Grounded to Elevated). Range would only be halved when throwing the object at a Flying figure in Soaring mode.

1. There is no elevated terrain on an indoors map. The boxes go to the ceiling.

2. Only flyers are not subject to damage from falling off elevated terrain.

3. Shooting at elevated figs from the ground is never halved for range. This applies only to shooting at soarers by non-soarers. The only range penalty incurred when range attacking up to elevated terrain is when you use Telekinesis for it and then it is a 1 square penalty.

Hope this helps.
